  1. 999 as it pass just SE of ACK. A nice 3-6/4-8 moderate snow-sleet event would be welcomed here after tonights disaster of a storm.
  2. The watch also includes every single county in their CWA and you're on the SE fringe of the watches so take that into account. Doubt youll see little if any snow.
  3. I dont think i've ever in my life seen every single county in the entire state of Texas under a Winter Storm Warning/Winter Weather Advisory at one time. Crazy. Gotta be a first?
  4. 27, Freezing Rain most of the night, car was a block of ice..roads are lovely
  5. I mean i dunno about morons just probably not aware of the weather and probably just looked like rain. They're not used to big icestorms down there as much. It looked like everyone was driving that fast and hit a sheet of ice, literallly. Sorry probably should be in banter but i just wanted to comment on this quickly, freezing rain is some deadly shit. Theyre reporting 6 dead now...
  6. Those are some of the most horrific crashes ive ever seen. im still in shock watching these. Especially the tractor trailer hitting that white truck at like 70mph how horrific.
  7. Last season 19-20 and the season before 18-19 we got two 0.5" damaging ice storms. The Jan 19 one was worse because of the winds and arctic temperatures sweeping in right after it ended. Dec 19 was also very bad due to the amounts of ice alone.
  8. Final snowfall totals from todays event. This was a pretty easy/straight forward forecast with a general C-1 for 85% of the state. Very high ratios helped get some areas above an inch and above two inches a couple instances. Positives 85% of the state verified in the C-1 range Highest amounts as noted in the fx verified exactly in SW CT Noted 1"+ in the fx with several amounts 1 and some change in SW CT Negatives 2 reports >2" at the immediate SW shore, could have went with a 1-3 range in SW CT Grade: A-
  9. Ill gladly take 3 tenths inch of ice to bullet proof the pack until June
  10. Thats true but the first part of your statement is probably why the majority on here want it.
  11. nothing north of 90..winter wonderland everywhere south...deep deep winter
  12. Heres what i have so far... Ill post the full map and town by town graphics later today when everything else comes in as well as BDR/BDL totals..
  13. Yeah thats 2.8 from @WeatherX im pretty sure.
  14. BDR would also have 0 for Jan etc...etc..etc..
  15. Some totals so far... Norwalk 2.8" Branford 2.0" Easton 2.0" Ansonia 2.0" Seymour 1.5" Hamden 1.3" Southbury 1.0" North Haven 1.0" Clinton 0.9" Salem 0.8" Tolland 0.5" Brooklyn 0.5" Moosup 0.3" Enfield T
  16. So 1" or didnt happen? I mean 0.5 is pretty lame but you know that happens many times throughout the winter, so you're shorting yourself a few inches every year at least.
  17. @Damage In Tolland @Kitzbuhel Craver any measurable?
  18. Amounts are reported in tenths of an inch sir. Whats this fraction? 0.125? I'm gonna have to give you a ban for that. oh wait....
  19. Feb 5th 2001. Sounds like it to a T. With the amounts, start time and thundersnow/rates....it can only be Feb 5th 01. Thats my #1 all time. To this day i haven seen flakes that big, like baseball size. And a CG strike that hit my neighbors back yard. Extremely heavy thundersnow and thundersleet.
  20. Sometimes i just have no idea what the nws is thinking. Guarantee these advisories dont verify for 2-4 in CT. Even southern fairfield looks like 1-3 but nothern fairfield and southern new haven wont get more than an inch. @WeatherX @EastonSN+ @Brian5671 @Hoth Any reports?
  21. 16 is much more reasonable and in line with most of the other models. ill stick with the btter performer this winter GFS16>FV3
  22. 18Z GFS is by far the wettest again almost 3 tenths liquid at the shore
  23. STD snowfall map for CT updated. i posted it in 2020-2021 New England Snow thread.
