  1. i wanted to ask you about the 80s. Is Feb 11-12th, 1983 the only big region wide historic snowstorm that decade? That's the only one i could find on the NESIS site and its the only one i mapped out on our site for the 1980s. Anything else that was widespread 12"+ snowfall in the 80s?
  2. not this much and not really down here, certainly not near an inch ...so not really.
  3. 8 years ago today. Jan 4th 2018 Blizzard I got a bunch of radar loops and sfc maps and satellite/wv here https://www.jdjweatherconsulting.com/jan-4-2018 Contours only
  4. 0.8" final. Nice little surprise event, plows are out. 12.3" on the season.
  5. lol i was just thinking that last time i did it, this is a pain in the ass....i have a ZFold 7 which is a huge and awkward phone to hold in one hand and take a picture
  6. yea for 3 years for sure. 21-22 was very good for you, def above normal
  7. yeah from a snowpack standpoint its obviously way better. I just meant from a pure snowfall totals number. But 2020 at least had deep pack from Dec 16-17th-Dec 24th, 8 days. So far its been Dec 26-27-Jan 4th, 8 days plus a bunch of days in mid December from Dec 14th. Both years were brown on Christmas Day.
  8. 0.6" so far probably come in under an inch ish
  9. Here its been the best start to Winter since 2020
  10. heaviest snow atm, maybe pick up half an inch
  11. light snow, heavy heavy coating. tell me about it
  12. Thats just from midnight-7AM or the whole event? looks like its just the calendar day, BDR should def be higher. Also, where did you get that from? i was looking for climo sites snowfall totals this morning but the CLI wasn't out yet
  13. looks like you got a foot from the jan 2-3 blizzard but just missed the 20-24" big dog numbers in Haverhill and Boxford. still a huge event regardless the jan 21-22 was a coastal SNE special and maybe 4-6 on Jan 18th
  14. where did you get the BDR report? The CLI aren't out yet, i was looking to get them early today.
  15. right next to Sturbridge from Staffordville 4.3 - Holland 4.8" - Sturbridge 4.5" that tight cluster of reports all line up so gives credit to that staffordville CT report
  16. Just a quick first pass CT map and town by town totals. This will definitely be updated and refined as i get all the final reports today and tomorrow and the airports. SNE/Tri-State maps as well. I decided to label it January 1st instead of December 31st-January 1st because the majority of the time it spent snowing was after midnight and mostly because including two different months and years wouldn't fit...never ran into that problem before. Also a rare "Snow Squall Event" tag for the description
  17. yup we got majorly screwed. you should be about 0.5. i measured 0.5 then 0.1 from the squall so 0.6 total. which matches up very closely to surrounding cocorahs...wallingford 0.6" and North Branford 0.5"
  18. majority was after midnight, technically you should have measured at 1200am without clearing then took a final measurement this morning but its up to you So you got 3" in Winstead?
  19. Is there a way to get snowfall obs for official climo sites yet? Anyone know what fell at the climo sites?
