From my experience the pivotal weather snow maps are not much different than wxbell. Yes wxbell is a bit more extreme but not by much. Pivotal still showing 2'+ on theirs. I do really like the Storm Vistas and EuroWXs the best though. Either way, i think pretty much everyone here knows to take them with a grain of salt, maybe not all pros but at least everyone is well seasoned. Unlike twitter and facebook. people take it literally.

i agree overall, though its better for me than you, id rather deal with the snow/no snow line and a scraper than the R/S line and getting 0 or 12 just to my north. im sick of those, but thats just me. I like to be on the northern edge, at least i know its cold

Kinda expected that, this lead time and with the GFS being the furthest west and shifting quite a bit SE to benchmark status. CMC followed. CMC is now the 5 gallon bucket of ice water thrown on you when you're deep in a knocked out opiate trance and wake up in the psych ward.

Good look obviously its the op run 6 days out. we watch the ensembles for now. we track. something to watch at least. I can't remember a december look this good in the past 6 years ive been active on the boards. 14 and 15 were pure dog shit. 16 was meh, ok. 17 was probably the best. 18 shit. 19 good in the very beginning then shit.

It's perfect. Then the narcan shot hits you and you realize theres like 100 more runs to go and its still 150hrs out. What a great look though, at H5 and surface great high placement, classic setup.

Yeah gfs, euro, icon, cmc, ensembles, its like a big hot dog party. But seriously things couldn't look much better than this in the mid to long term. Great look. Welcome.

Then when all else fails and there's no snow maps to get the shakes to stop you pull out the GEFS and Euro Weekly 35 and 46 day snow maps. Mainline that shit and all is better for a few hours.

Weeniebell gets your day started right with 10:1 and kuchera maps showing 2 feet, and you finish off the day with a smooth bottle of Icon/CMC 150 proof jet fuel.

9.4" for me! Sucks that you're getting 1.1 more than me but I'll take it. I don't know why you guys are using all these inaccurate crude models when WU tells you how much snow you're getting down to the 1/10" up to 10 days out

just curious about the GEM/ICON snow map on that site, did you post that earlier? For the 00Z run. I really just want soundings for the foriegn models and would love to be able to put them in bufkit, but stuck with american GFS/NAM for that.

yes you had the GEPS before WSI vortex labs and thats almost always the fastest its not even open to the public. It's like a main line into the model servers haha.

yea but paid sites have a lot more to offer, like a lot of ensemble stuff that pivotal doesnt have. I hve wxbell.

how does it compare to weatherbell and other paid sites? Does it have UKMET 6hr qpf/mslp panels? i also relaly miss the soundings for the ECMWF on pivotal its behind a paywall now.
