  1. I'm downtown and my station bottomed out at 24.
  2. lol - nope, bottomed out at 23.
  3. haven't personally felt a temperature below 20F since 2019 LOL.
  4. Temps hanging out around 28F in DC - still remains to be seen if we will drop below 22F.
  5. this was one of the prettiest snow storms I can remember. I mean everything was just pasted white. And then yeah, you had that contrast with the clearing - very very nice! The NY'ers might not agree, but I think DC might be the best looking US city in the snow.
  6. Late January of 2002 featured an absolutely INSANE heat wave. It hit 81F in Staunton (https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/us/va/weyers-cave/KSHD/date/2002-1) and DCA hit 77F. I remember going to school in shorts that day.
  7. Don you really are a treasure on these boards.
  8. don't know if folks are seeing - but it is ripping rn in parts of Alabama. Headed this way.
  9. Folks keep mentioning how insane the cutoff appears to be (as modeled) - those of us who are old will remember a similar absolutely insane cutoff from the surprise Jan 25 2000 storm (another storm that used to be close to an auto-ban for a while if brought up in the context of storm chances withering away, i.e. "what about Jan 25 2000??")
  10. Bringing up March 2001 should be an auto-ban - Ji knows better lol
  11. 66/53 is the high/low pair for DCA - more typical of late April lol.
  12. 57F downtown to ring in the new year. Ridiculous.
  13. Pathetic how mid 30s outside feels freezing. It's a cold night if we dip below freezing lol.
  14. DCA hit 80F again. Endless summer continues.
  15. turned on our A/C for all of a couple hours today (we face west/north and get absolutely hammered by sunlight in the afternoon with a ton of windows). Back into the 60s already! We haven't had temps like this since like May lol.
  16. R train tunnel between Manhattan and Brooklyn was closed for a loonggg time. Lots of damage to the tunnels between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Queens.
