i think that's the thing that's really been noteworthy over the past, I dunno, several years. We haven't had insane heat (generally) - it's just warm. Basically wire-to-wire.
-
we're probably just getting set up for the pattern to get stuck in a way that gives us our typical blowtorch "fall" well into November/December.
-
I try to avoid driving in Northern VA when possible.
-
10/10 today - just phenomenal.

holy shit does this piss me off (we have Youtube TV)

It would be nice for my kids to actually see snow. It's not like we live in FL.

I'm not an O's fan, but I feel like, in the spirit of regional, DMV solidarity, we all need to work together to get Angelos to sell the team.

Amazing out this morning!!
-
Some other teams' booths have gone off about this - Gary Cohen (play-by-play for the Mets) and Michael Kay (play-by-play for the Yanks) have both basically said WTF. I watched the video and was waiting for the typical racist/misogynistic/bigoted thing that gets folks like this canned - and was waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I've never heard of anything remotely like this before.

Definitely you see them every so often in Western Augusta, but usually after they cross the Alleghenies. Yeah - I'd think it's pretty rare actually in Highland.- 2,785 replies

same - now that i own a house, not really thrilled about the prospect of dealing with it. It was different when we were in a big condo building with buried power lines all around us.- 2,785 replies

Yep - sun is out in NW DC. Here we go.
-
some locations have broken all time maximum temperature records... IN WINTER.
-
Not remotely our region, but folks need to know what is going on in southern South America right now. Temps pushing 40C in the middle of winter at mid-latitude locations, some with elevation (1500+m). Hard to contemplate.

The South American heat wave ongoing is one of the most insane weather/climate events I've ever seen. Temps pushing 40C in the middle of winter at the mid latitudes. WTF. -
Frost out at Canaan with lows in the low 30s.

likely 97F at DCA

95 at DCA now - I believe this is the warmest temp of the year there?
