It’s kind of awful here for a “summer” day. 62/48 with a raw wind

38.3 here, about 4 degrees more than yesterday. Third low in the 30s this August, not bad

Was down to 34.7 this morning. Yikes.

Spent some time in the White Mountains, Hit Flume Gorge, We stayed in Jefferson and headed to the top of the Mt. Washington on the cog railway for the first time, which was pretty fun actually even if it was crowded at the top. It actually wasn't too bad up there, in and out of sun above the clouds and fog around 2pm with a temp in the 40s and light breeze - started to really clear out as we were leaving. I definitely recommend the front seats.
Love the cog! And BTW for anyone interested we sell discounted tickets.

No sun for us but a comfortable 66 after a low of 40.6. Sunny outside of the upslope areas though.

Any foliage pics yet? I know the bright green chloroplasts are fading...
I posted one a couple of days ago lol. It's definitely noticeable if you pay attention. About 10-20% of trees have the more muted and at times bronzish colors that prelude to foliage season

Even with a high of 72 today felt amazingly fallish with the raw wind and afternoon cloud cover. Feels good albeit I'd like a few more days of summer.

Low of 39.4 here. Which means we’ve had 30’s every month so far this year!

How cool is this
You should check out her website - dogbreathphoto.com. Her photos are unbelievable. You'll also appreciate the fact that she's become famous worldwide yet she got her start in the world of dog photography by taking pictures of shelter dogs. Her mission was to make sure that shelter dogs get the best pictures possible because so many people choose based on a web picture of the pup. Such a great person.

A photographer friend came over last night and made a nice time-lapse of the Milky Way from our front lawn. The town of Bristol and greater Concord NH muck up my southern horizon a bit.
Very cool Gene! We also had a cool photography experience this week. A National Geographic photographer and host of the TV show "Pupparazzi" rented my cabin and took some pictures of my dog. She was awesome and it was so much fun!

Holy thunderstorms tonight! Loud thunder, lightning and pouring rain.

Some nice downpours rolling through. Only occasional thunder

Right by a beech tree, waiting for the nuts to ripen. And it's the scruffy fur-shed season.
We've had a string of break-ins (5 that I know of so far). One of our properties received some damage and our cleaners had to hide in a closet. Pretty wild! A mama bear with 3 cubs. She's completely fearless. Unfortunately she's going to have to be put down and the cubs sent to rehab.

95% RH here... But with the temperature already down to 58 that's not hard to achieve (dew is 56.7). Low has been in the upper 40s for a couple of nights now, amazing diurnal swing. You go from jacket to shorts in 2 hours

Haha yes. Bretton Woods is not quite as expensive (plus we built it on our land, so we have 3 rentals and our house on the same 32 acre lot). It’s been under construction for 2 years. I’m so over it, but the end product is pretty close to my dream home. The logs are 18” wide - we had to get them from Idaho.
The reason I picked this plan was because of all the rooflines. Can’t wait to see it covered in snow.
