I feel like every time we get a warmup we talk about it like it's this crazy thing, while it seems to me to be climatology. I've never experienced a NNE winter when we don't have a major rain/melt event at least once if not multiple time through the season. Rinse, repeat...

I may be biased but you may want to consider Bretton Woods. Recover quickly is relative; what you need is top notch grooming.

Bretton Woods was actually pretty nice today. Fast packed snow but no ice to speak of. Fun on the groomers (and so different from yesterday)

Wasn’t bad today actually - fast, packed snow. Didn’t venture into the glades of course. My pride took a beating as my 7 year old son beat me by a good 4 seconds on the NASTAR course lol

Interesting. That doesn’t make the Wildcat chair seem particularly exceptional, even though it’s always felt that way to me. Might be their marketing lol… “The Wildcat Express is the fastest and longest detachable Quad chair lift in New Hampshire and possibly the fastest in the Northeast.”

For fast vertical, you should really try Wildcat if you haven’t already. A single chair, 2100+ feet of vertical, and fast ride up.

Went to the ice castles in Lincoln tonight. Always fun, they get more impressive every year. Very scary drive though - lots of spin outs on Rt 3 between Twin Mountain and 93.

Huh? I have 5” of fresh snow on my walkway, how are you not accumulating??? Although it is wet and when I shoveled it there is water on the bottom -
Nice little bust in the forecast lol. The 1” we had in the forecast turned into almost half a foot of very pretty spring like snow. Seems elevation dependent, you could see a clear line on the hills on the way to Whitefield. Still snowing!

Fully agree. The more I ski other areas, the more I realize what a special place BW is. Went to Wildcat today. Such a different experience lol. I love the “big mountain” feel it has and the scenery is stunning (we actually got married at the top there). But the snow was sooo packed and windswept, it made it much less enjoyable.

Was also thinking - the resort is 100% open. I don’t think there was a ever a time last year when all terrain and all glades were skiable. So far this ski season is not disappointing
