  1. Attitash actually has some great terrain, but the lifts suck. Getting to the summit - which has the best terrain IMO - is an ordeal. It's disappointing that they didn't replace that summit chair, it would completely change my outlook on it. Of course they do suffer from the low base area early in the season, but it can be an awesome mountain.
  2. It seems the best is going to be in the next week to 10 days - at least for those like me who like it when it's still somewhat "not uniformly red/orange" - and at least locally. Down in Conway still has a while to go, probably closer to Columbus Day
  3. For you guys. I don't need it in October skiing the glades by Thanksgiving is pretty awesome and doable.
  4. Ended with 1.96" of rain here. Hey, could have been worse, could have been 2" of rain lol
  5. Posted in the other thread. Zealand Falls area - about a mile from my house - today.
  6. What are you all snorting? Seems perfectly on time. It’s September 19 lol. Any earlier and there would be sticks by early October.
  7. Hiked up the Zealand Trail with the kiddos today. Absolutely stunning day, the sky is a perfect blue
  8. Haha. Believe or not we get bookings from people who come in late October to see foliage. Always feel bad for them
  9. That makes sense. Funny thing is, it actually felt like a wet summer all in all. The NEK, especially northern sections, seems to be much drier though
  10. It’s all relative, I suppose. To me it’s more about the sensible consequences of weather. If it rains 3” or 6” in a month it’s fairly inconsequential from an every day perspective. Now when vegetation starts wilting and wells are running dry, it’s another story! in terms of standard deviations, I’m not sure how much variability there is year to year, but if I were to guess I’d imagine 80% of normal is not particularly unusual. But that’s completely not data based, I have no idea!
  11. Central NH does not seem "way way below average" in that map
  12. Definitely not late October. It's changing pretty fast at this point. Seems pretty much normal to me. We've had some early years recently
  13. https://www.google.com/amp/s/boston.cbslocal.com/2021/09/13/fall-foliage-best-places-new-hampshire-white-mountains-usa-today/%3famp Take that, Vermont
  14. Really hard to show changes in iPhone pictures but they're definitely changing. Plus the occasional tree that says - screw you all, I'm going for it.
  15. Thanks PF! That seems reasonable. Freeze is what I worry about the most... Most things can handle a bit of frost!
  16. I wonder if anyone know what the record for late frost for Whitefield is? Looks like no frost for at least another week... Seems really late! Not complaining, just curious. My plants are still outside and I don't want to get caught!
