  1. We are due for some cutters/warmer weather. But I don’t necessarily know that it will be “ugly”. We usually get a few days of melting here and there and then go right back up to where things were… not worth sweating over it. We’ve got plenty of winter left (some would argue too much lol)
  2. Haha yes I’ve noticed-25 is when the Tesla starts struggling with heat. It’s warming msg inside but definitely not as warm as I’d like it to be (I pretty much like driving in a mobile sauna in the morning). But given that it’s a heat pump system it’s amazing that it even works at these temperatures lol

  4. Ahhhh Fabyans. Omni just doesn’t seem to be able to get their act together. Fabyans has been closed since COVID as has the Bretton Arms, and their restaurants are pretty mediocre in general in my opinion. Depends on what you’re looking for, but for amazing food, the Thompson House Eatery in Jackson is one of my favorites. Notchland Inn in Crawford Notch is awesome as well. The dining room at the Mountain View Grand has awesome views. Soooo many options! We have a pretty good list on our website - www.brettonwoodsvacations.com, look under the dining section. It’s our favorites by geographic area. There are a surprising number of great options!
  5. That happens here pretty frequently in very cold weather - sometimes it drifts all the way to my house. In really low temperature the guns create a "snowmaking cloud" that settles in the valley. Not sure what the physics of it are, but it's interesting to see anyways. Speaking of fake snow, tonight's fluff stacks up really well - already over an inch.
  6. Eh. It’s still snow. Who cares about staying power I’d rather have snow falling and covered trees most days than 30” that never melts but only gets refreshed once a week. And even the fluff does add up
  7. Ok done. But I really haven't been tracking all the little "bread and butter" ones that are less than 0.2. Getting lazy in my old age We did beat the greens one year a few years ago, thanks to a bunch of coastals, but it's a tough battle. Also, it's all relative. We can easily beat the town of Stowe, for instance, but JSpin is in a perfect spot. If I lived at the cog rail base we may have a better chance of beating his records lol.
  8. Lol I know I know I'm bad at that. I save everything on my phone then do "data dumps". I'll get on it!
  9. LOL. You could get there with my son's RC car. No issues getting to Stowe or Boston, with plenty of battery left.
  10. It definitely does - but mostly because I’m running heat, heated seats, heated steering wheel, etc
  11. It’s like the heated walkways at Spruce Peak
  12. Used to it by now but the noises are definitely weird. Especially decks - they make these sounds like the boards are popping out of place or something. And cars steer very differently. That said, glad to say the Tesla is handling it like a champ!
  13. I’d have to look through the pws records but I believe it was -35.5 3 or 4 years ago
  14. It was actually marketed as a ski train for a while. There are allegedly snowmaking pipes along the track because I’m at some point they wanted to develop that area around the railroad for skiing. Not sure how many people still do it - but yes only goes to Waumbek in the winter
  15. Also just noticed a decent amount of Diamond dust falling
  16. I have to say, after skiing Stowe for several days, BW really is an underrated mountain. Sure, terrain is mellow but the conditions are so much better (and consistently so) than just about anywhere else I’ve skied in the East, and the glades in Stowe just can’t even compete (at least the basic marked glades). But Stowe is an awesome mountain too!
