  3. It's still raining a lot by Grand Junction and in Arizona
  4. There is a brand new video on Youtube about the Nov 21-23 1992 tornado outbreak. It is by "CJ Morgan-Florida Man Weather." I looked up some facts and maps about this a few weeks ago. There was a complex pattern of tornado threats
  5. Before the snow comes in to Glacier NP, Montana
  6. Yesterday, Toledo had a high of 86, low of 48. 86 is close to the record of 90, and 48 is one degree below normal.
  7. Tropical Storm Matmo has emerged from Luzon, Philippines recently and will be headed toward Hainan Island with strength of 85kt
  8. I've created a new loop including all 500mb maps last month (it's 24-hour daily anomalies) https://great-lakes-salsite.web.app/Sep_2025_500mb_loop.html
  9. Looking over the mountains somewhere around the Spanish Peaks/Walsenburg with aspen trees
  10. I was messing around with decades-old tornado outbreaks. It seems that May 1995 was had a near-record high 392 tornadoes (month of May only.) I'm not really sure which May had more tornadoes, but obviously we can say that April 2011 had more. Many tornadoes affected Illinois.
  11. It's likely that Typhoon Ragasa was at 95 knots when it passed near Hong Kong. The wind gusts topped out at 66 knots at Hong Kong Airport.
  12. double supercells near Dallas with 2" hail north of Denton reported
  13. super typhoon Ragasa is rated at 140 kt (Category 5) by JTWC and near the Philippines/Taiwan
  14. As for me, I think my place has to get out of D2 drought. This level of drought is in NW and SE Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.
  15. There are two typhoons, Neoguri and Ragasa. Neoguri as at 95 kt, and Ragasa is at 100 kt and heading toward the strait of Taiwan, eventually towards Hong Kong as a large storm. It is expected to reach peak intensity of 135 kt (category 5) at the strait of Taiwan, so I'd expect a large amount of rain is heading for Hong Kong. The WPAC has been very below normal ACE.
  16. The day the jet stream forgot so much of the 500mb is under 20 kt. I think weather forgot how to happen
  17. I think this is a sugar maple, but I am not sure. The silver maples have slightly different leaves.
  18. I call this one a "fire bush" but I don't know the name of it
