One thing you gotta understand about Harbaugh: He does NOT like to openly criticize his coordinators. He doesn't want to say "We should've run the ball but we didn't" because he probably sees it as taking a slap at Monk. You saw it even in Roman's last year: He tried not to criticize him until he just had to say something (i.e. the Proche debacle) So yeah, imo, Harbs knows and agrees we should've run the ball more. He said he and Monken talked about that (and if I had to bet he told him the same thing in private. He just won't say it publicly).

Yes it is. I've already made my non-scientific reasoning why...I mean perhaps this year could finally be the year to break the post PD-March 1st bad luck streak! Ya never know. Now THIS here: I'd MUCH rather be bet in something for this weekend...why? Because our history of PD weekends in Niños is frickin' epic! It just "feels" like a better chance (not scientific, just a feel). Now scientifically, what @psuhoffman is saying about the 22nd/23rd being better odds makes sense with the -NAO flexing and all. Now of course...if the timing of the relax of the flex is moved up a few days...then maybe PD

I'm telling ya, in a week where Ravens news has been locking us down, here come the Orioles to give us the biggest lift ever, lol Change owners? BIIIIG CHECK. Get a very solid starter? Check

Yes...weird and illogical it is You feel like the "luck" is worse then. Not that bad luck can't happen anytime in winter, but in a less logical lense...good luck has never happened that week at all! (Even the epic 2010 couldn't do it...a storm missed us the last week of THAT Feb). And the other example you mentioned about a great setup but a weird Fujiwara thing for no reason? Until something works out I'll be paranoid until it finally does, lol

This month is may test the non-scientific slightly superstitious theory of whether we can get a MECS or HECS to hit the last week of Feb...lol (I won't argue too much but given all the misses, I'll personally never be comfortable with that week until it does) Sounds like you're saying we'd actually need more luck BEFORE that week? (I.e. the waves coming after the 12th?)

Hey I'm not debbing anything in the LR thread. I'm trying to make changes there. And are you even a Ravens fan? (I forget now since you moved)
-
Dang...have the Ravens become...a national embarrassment? Smh The way people are talking about us it sure does feel like it. Man I don't play but I identify with the team and I feel that mess, smh Where's my brown paper bag?
-
Not supposed to be two...the other was unpinned like 2-3 days ago, lol Not sure why folks are still in there!
-
Oh yeah I'm not downing the potential here. Just...a little calendar superstitious that's all (of that particular week) I look down the top 25, all the MECS & HECS either came between Jan 20th and Feb 20th ...or early/mid March for some strange reason (with the exception of a legendary Palm Sunday...hey I have an Aunt old enough to remember that...gotta ask her about that )

So think our usual PD weekend MECS+ threshold would be too soon? (It's not scientific, but the fact it's never happened the last week of Feb is not something I wanna bet on, lol)

Historically...you should be fine, lol (No HECS has ever come on that week)

Firing him would be a bad idea. You don't do that after 1 year just because of this...especially not when literally everything else on offense got better this year. He had a bad game at a bad time...ya don't give him the boot just for that.
-
Stale isn't the right word...he still resonates with the players. Chemistry and leadership is not the problem with him at all. It's one thing: abandoning the run for no reason. Like literally that's the biggest thing, and a few on-field decisions. It's a weird problem...how you be so good yet so bad in that is beyond me. Now here's the logistical prproblem with them firing him this off-season to promote MM: That decision would've had to be made in two days. That would have to be a decision made at the beginning of the year or earlier in the season, imo Harbs was not on the hot seat this year...so how could they have made that decision on a whim?

So...you enjoyed watching this model run with digital blue...more than the real thing if it were to happen?

Came here to say the same thing, lol Man I hope this is true...this would be the absolute perfect week from this news to drop!!!

This has been bad for my mental health...I haven't been able to focus on much of anything other than the loss. So embarrassing, national media ripping us to shreds, and the future of the team, quite frankly, looks bleak, and I'm wondering if Lamar is really the QB that can get us there. He and Monken let us all the way down! I don't trust either of them right now. And, with all the assistant coaching turnover, it may not even be possible to fire Harbaugh this off-season. So who knows what kind of season we may have to go through next year. Tbh, unless MacDonald stays, it's too late in he game to look for a new HC in 2024). This may be the darkest moment this franchise has ever had... and it's frickin' depressing
-
In NFL history...has a coach ever been fired after going 14-3 and losing the AFC Championship game? (Real question--I don't think I've ever heard of that being done) Therein lies the conundrum. I don't think any team justifiably does that...regardless of what has happened before. It's still winning football...coach hasn't lost the locker room (although maybe we'll see this off season, lol) just hasn't gotten to the SB. I feel like...we'd have to completely miss the playoffs in order for something to change. I mean in a weird way, if you root for Harbs to be fired, you'd basically have to root against the team next year and root for us to miss the playoffs, lol So like...y'all gonna root for us to tank? Lol

If, if, IF. Just once I'd like you to use positive language when there's no other reason to be negative about something. Humor me just this once for the Feb 10th-20th period. What do ya have to lose? -

Nice!! Still can't believe they ousted that dude a few years ago, lol -
It is. And I kinda get the "Don't hit people over the head with it". I could see if it was like...being really judgemental or something. But what I'm not getting is the thinking that expressing beliefs is always based on an assumption somebody wants to engage. Sometimes you're just talking freely from what you feel, not to necessarily "engage". Just comes out sometimes (like you said, it is a personal thing)...and some just feel more free with it than others
-
TL;DR: Expressing faith is not presumption, it's being yourself...and when you talk about what YOU believe, that does not equate to telling others what to believe. Here's what folks don't get about this: When you're a Christian, it is so much a part of what you do that you naturally talk about it...especially in a field of leadership where there are going to be other people that share that faith (and where workplace rules don't prohibit it) You can't just turn it off...faith doesn't work that way. After all it's what YOU believe, and it shapes how you view things, and how you lead. So when you're asked about your leadership, if that's part of it...it comes out. And you can believe when he coaches, the players bring up the same stuff. I mean players talk about their faith too! Lamar just did that the other day...and you KNOW how much Ray Lewis did (and still does!) It's just a part of who you are. Should a player not say it simply because some people don't believe it? Is it wrong for teams to have chaplains? I promise you there are men of faith on every team. but some do (in the Ravens case there are many that do). But nobody is making anybody believe anything! So...it's probably not turning off the players that don't believe, and not taking away from the game...so, what's the problem?

Well here's what's interesting...Mike Mac told a superfan last night the opposite, lol: Now of course...he could've "technically" meant he's not going anywhere in terms of being a coach in the NFL. But let's hope he means the Ravens
