I've heard it echoed by the more experienced minds on here that a lot of our best storms come as the pattern starts to breakdown/reload...Now I'm guessing next week we'd be going from negative to neutral? (someone feel free to chime in)

That's the time period I'm cautiously curious about...but of course we can't even consider it unless it's still there Monday, lol

Yeah it has been a rough go...and consequently the gig economy was reduced to a standstill. (At least those stimulus checks did help--I know they made up for what I lost with my seasonal school gigs) But ya know, one thing those in the arts are known for is our resilience and creativity in making it work however we can! And it's funny...in some instances, having to be virtual opened up some rather unique opportunities to reach even more people than we would have in person. (For example, a friend of mine was in some kind of virtual opera singing thing!) And for churches...being virtual also opened up the opportunity to reach more people (I know at my new church we had like 75 in attendance for Christmas Eve but over 100 watching the livestream/Youtube). And while getting into recording and livestreaming was a bit of headache for churches that hadn't done it before (a LOT of trial and error, and some musicians and other members having to turn into amateur videographers, lol), now churches are committed to that format and using it minister further. beyond the walls! What's that saying about necessity being the mother of invention? Hopefully we can get past this surge and continue to return to some kind of new normal--and emerge better than ever!

I'm good, lol Yes, yesterday absolutely still stings...gonna take a little bit, but it's also an opportunity to reflect on this whole thing. Meanwhile, I'm not putting too much stock into the Thurs-Fri thing atm (hard to bet against the ns backing off TWICE in one week during a nina). In fact this one not working out will make it easier to take a much-needed break from here for a few days.

In other words the Nina ns won this run, lol

Was gonna ask about timing...so still looking like Thursday evening? (Gotta know for rehearsal...Church folk don't come in even a few flakes, lol)

Lol Like the other dude said--compassion. A response with nothing more than a blank insult--those usually get nowhere. I know not everybody is wired to respond with understanding--but those that know the feeling know the feeling. If you've never had to deal with it you're blessed. Do I gotta handle it better? Absolutely. We're all learning and growing.

Btw I NEVER said anything about anybody posting snow pics. If I ever implied that I apologize. And I am by no means "petty". Yeah I get jealous (which I'm sure NOBODY here ever does) Many understand the feeling, and I'm thankful for those that actually get it. It is hard to control and takes awhile to master. Not everybody has compassion but some do. Will try to do better. Also btw: If ya noticed I actually enjoyed some of those pictures!! (especially the coveted Christmas decorations!)

I thank you for both of your posts--and for your understanding answer. You are right: I can't dampen somebody else's joy with my own misery. That wasn't right and I do apologize for that. And you're right--this is a passion that gets VERY unhealthy. It's an emotional force difficult to rein in. Will work on a better way to harness it.

So option 1...when you say they miss each other, would that mean the the ns was moving faster? Kinda wondering what clues to look for over the next few days if there are any.

Now am I imagining things or are we seeing the southern stream wake up just a tad? (even if it's temporary I hope we can take advantage of it!)

I mean...THOSE are predictable (though I still hate hearing about NJ, NY, other northeast places getting it...but that's usually not too close of a call and rarely a forum divider unlike today)
