I agree. And I'm not totally kidding when I say they're "bad for the weenie brain". I think that they set unrealistic subconscious expectations...making the disappointment of the reality worse if it doesn't measure up. I'm more in the camp of not using them until you're within 48 hours.
I got black history and another black history-related gig on Sunday morning/afternoon...don't let this be the only late Feb storm in years that actually works out, lol
Ah I see--That makes more sense now. Thanks for the blocking tutorial And man I can't wait to see that blocking (WITH cold) again! When did we see that last? 2016? Lol
My superstition...or calendar-stition...is that we don't get much good happening the week after PD, lol I don't know why but all the big snows either came before or not until March. No scientific reason...It just never seems to work out at least for my atea--even in the legendary 2010 we missed one that last week of Feb (as if we needed more at that point--certainly not complaining!). Again no science...just calendar-stition
Ah okay. So that block would...push the interaction further west so it happens sooner? (Now see, this is where a video with a visual would help so novices can see exactly how things interact)
Although to be fair to them areas north/northwest have been skunked too...lol I thought post PD they'd get to make up some ground with systems like that one! But yeah...I was hoping we'd get less squashyness as wavelengths got shorter. I mean we still could...we shall see.
How would ya say this compares to a couple weeks ago when it overdid the cold push? Although I'm guessing that wasn't really a CAD situation like this might be.
Alright so I Googled and couldn't quite find the answer to what may be considered a silly question:
Does sleet get added into the official measurement of snowfall, or do they not count it at all since it's, well, not snow? Lol
Tell that to my PTMD...lol (though one teacher at CCBC pulled off a heck of a miracle when I got an A in some of the same Algebra I flunked in high school). I will say that I do appreciate WHAT math makes possible (even the simple math when it comes to music). But childhood memories of fruitless, torturous coach classes and tutoring remain...lol
We certainly do. Btw, sympathy is automatic for sucking in math...trust me I have PTMD post traumatic math disorder from high school, lol. But as you said, this is one place to snow geek out...not too many places outside of here to do that!
