  1. The no-blocking typical Nina wants to get in one more laugh...lol I mean that Screencast is the winter right thete! (Only fun part is that even I happened not to be wrong about this winter...albeit my reasoning was a bit too general. But this winter fit the "problem with ninas" to a T!)
  2. Hey is your profile pic a real photo?
  3. The garden thread called: It said it wants it's posts back
  4. I mean...I don't know how other parts of the subforum fared, but that was a 2- footer here that caved in roofs (like the B & O). All heavy and wet! Imo no 2- footer should be underrated--given ya only see one every 6-7 years!
  5. Man this has to be a Top 5 moment, lol
  6. I still find some value in social media. I mean, firstly, as a musician, I almost have to stay connected in that capacity--both personally as a freelancer, and as a church music director. And that avenue has been even more important since the pandemic! You have all kinds of virtual events, and these days the fastest way to get the word out about what's going on at your church or wherever is through social media. So for me it's quote useful. YouTube as well! So I guess for us artsy types it's a bit different. But in general, it's all in how you use it. Facebook is more personal than Twitter (partly because you can control what friends see what, lol). There's nothing wrong with sharing joys and sorrows--because we all do better when we support each other. It's not always "for attention"...and in struggle, some people legit go through stuff and it sometimes it just comes out. But then, if you are careful about your friend list and who sees what...you'd be surprised at the prayers and support you get. On Twitter, I may comment but I never tweet myself...it's a little more wild, imo All that to say...I guess it all depends on the person using it!
  7. Here's where I gotta be lame and have you explain the joke...lol
  8. Ha...MLB and players were still at it until 2:30 am, lol Sounds like they got much closer but the coffee may have run out...
  9. If winter is over, all I wanna read about is ENSO predictions, lol Mod El Niño please
  10. Unfortunately...in today's climate, it doesn't seem possible to discuss something that a world leader does that's so obviously awful (a fact agreed on by most)...without someone throwing in said domestic political answer. This is a prime example...ain't no reason the discussion should have even gotten back there...yet here we are! So like the mod said, we just cant talk about it.
  11. Now...what I WANTED to post earlier...I'm calling this right here the black history hammer! Came through to ensure all the black history programs today were not impeded by snow, lol (the ONLY time I didn't mind the NS interference this year!)
  12. Thank ya both! And thank you website creators for making the process much easier, lol
  13. I'd still like to know why clippers in general have been hard to come by. It's like that good clipper of 2015 was supposed to satisfy us for years, lol
  14. Ah frickle...guessing it ain't no quick way to do that, lol
  15. On another note (A--which in fixes do is la..la nina, lol).....Now, I got ridden pretty hard for kinda dismissing this winter as another mediocre la nina for my yard. And...the first week of January, it looked like my prediction was gonna fail miserably, lol But lo and behold...by snowfall amount, the nina did exactly what I thought it would! 13-15" through mostly WAA events, with closer to the beaches having a better shot! I mean, on paper, that's just like 2017-18 to me. But I realize that we can have different circumstances produce equal results--like the 18" of 2017-18 being from literal 1-2 inchers striking at rush hour, and a rare March pasting of a few inches,! Whereas this year it was made of one active yet underpeforming week...(for my yard and n/nw) and then 1 or 2 nickel and dimes, lol But yet the NS was still dominant and progressive, and we didn't have blocking (I do wanna look up Ninas and whether ENSO correlates with blocking, though). Now someone can correct me on whether the ENSO state was the reason for our woes, or whether there were other non-related reasons.
  16. I think this needs to be pinned at the top of something, lol But seriously...newbs/young uns' like me don't know what they're getting into when coming on a forum like this! What ya described is exactly where I'm at. I feel a little less shame now knowing that other folks have gone through the process (the shame part it tough) and I'm also seeing that there is a lot of stuff within that needs to be looked at. Teaching me that I got long ways to go with how I process stuff in general. And it has been bruising and painful...and I ain't handled it great (mostly because if shame. I learn from criticism but get defensive because of shame). I am not sure how good I'll ever be at posting about technical details...but I'm almost sure I'll be able to pick up on tendencies (like what progressive patterns without blocking do...or no do in this case, lol). I think I can get better at reading H5 and such, though. Anyway, thank you so much for your post--ya always keep it 100.
  17. Is there any reason why the file size is now 553.09 KB? I had posted a gif of a larger size but deleted it because it was the wrong thing. Now I tried to upload what I meant to and it won't let me. Did something change?
  18. Hard to imagine you or the other great posters like...NOT being great posters at one point! I always thought it was something ya kinda had or didn't have. I feel a little better now, lol
  19. No sir! That piece up north is the Black History hammer! Guaranteeing no disruptions to various celebrations, lol
  20. Only one year recently did April snow in my yard...2014--where we went on basically a two-month heater from Feb on!!
  21. Wow that's pretty incredible for a clipper! (What are those again? Lol Forgot they existed!)
