This morning has been gorgeous. Mid 60s, no humidity, nice breeze.
-
I hope everyone enjoyes the little cooldown this weekend because starting middle of next week it looks like perhaps no end in sight of +4-6 degrees above normal temps for the rest of July and perhaps through most of August.
-
Ive had 7” rain since 4:30 pm Wednesday.
-
-
Got 3.3” rain in 45 minutes.
-
94/70 with a 107 heat index at 6 pm at MDT.
The central a/c is running and barely able to maintain the temp.
-
97 / 70 currently at MDT.

We both need to go crawl into a cave and reemerge in about 4 months.
Autumn might arrive early! But we may not survive July.

"Only" reached 95 here...currently at 94.2 disgusting degrees. My only solace is that the days are getting shorter.
Gonna be a long July though. Heat and dry look locked in.

It’s legit hot today. 96 / 65
-
MDT might hit 90 on 14 consecutive days.
-
Last night's lighting show was impressive.
Have an outdoor wedding Saturday - that'll suck.
-
MDT got to 95. At 10 pm it was 86/75. If I wanted this weather I’d be back home in Texas. At least there I can chase storms.
-
94 with a heat index of 104 at 4 p.m. at MDT.
-
Off topic but @Voyager if you want NYC suggestions let me know, we are there a ton for work and Broadway.
Good luck in the new role - I think you’ll like it!
-
Monday looks miserable. Heat index above 102 likely.

So lucky this thing didn't roll through about 90 minutes sooner, injuries and worse would've been awful.
Yeah, timing worked out about as good as can be hoped for in W-B to minimize injuries.
-
Damn, that's crazy. I didn't see any radar images last night - I didn't even know it was storming anywhere east of Altoona until I saw my friend's photos of W-B on Facebook. Thank God I didn't post "BUST" to the storm prediction since no one here in the valley even saw rain.
:/

W-B might be a microburst rather a tornado ... we’ll se what NWS rules in a day or two. Terrible damage regardless, winds had to be over 100.
-
Friend is the editor of the W-B paper. I won’t say more but is is devestating there - many unaccounted for.
-
I don't see much severe east of CTP but yeah Altoona area might be able to cash in with legit severe later this afternoon.

It usually dies off this time of year. But no, i don't go on vacation until next week. Chicago then Milwaukee. 3 baseball stadiums and several brewery tours for my daughters college grad gift
You're a great dad. Can you adopt me?
