  1. its kinda cool to watch it move east while the main batch of rain moves north
  2. They're due for a volume III especially with all the storms in the past 15 years
  3. That period from late Jan to March was probably our snowiest of the decade. Not saying much but I do remember having 4 days off school
  4. It was a really tough forecast as closer to the city it was rain until late in the day. We kept going back and forth but I don't think they expected 8-12" to pile up in about 6 hours. Kinda similar to the November storm we just had
  5. I got stuck in that one, took 5 hours to drive 15 miles (parsippany to Montclair). It was a rain snow mix and then just turned to heavy wet snow and started piling up around 3pm And that was before gps and I didn't even have a cell phone yet
  6. Would have to be some major cold air being drawn in to get snow with the low in that position especially with mixing all the way up to Maine
  7. Probably a midnight high. I remember one day that winter where it stayed in the single digits all afternoon
  8. Winds are whipping now worse than this morning but my wind advisory is no longer in effect
  9. 108 degree heat in July, 18" of rain in August, Irene flooding and tree damage, October snowstorm and tree damage. March 9 degrees above average.
  10. Yeah I was just noticing that. The whole area is under one except ne nj, nyc and LI yet wind chill values are pretty similar to areas with an advisory
  11. I've dropped 2 degrees in the past hour after being at 16 since 8pm
  12. Yeah they should just do like college rules, but most OT games haven't ended in one possession since the new rule was implemented
  13. Starts in 10 minutes but not totality until 12:12
  14. I seem to recall a similar situation in MLK day in 2000. Very strong arctic blast only temps were supposed to be in the low 20s and we struggled to get above 10 most of the day
  15. And mt holly put up wind chill advisories and warnings regionwide. Upton only did for Northern and western areas
  16. I thought the 12"+ would've been more widespread across NY state
  17. It's had the storm a few runs in a row now. Even if it's not huge I think we'd settle for a nice 4-8" event
  18. I had a winter storm watch and an advisory and had about 10 minutes of sleet so yeah it was a bust around here. It happens
