  1. 62 degrees here right now. I knew we would manage to make it to the low 60s today, but obviously it does feel cool after how warm it has been lately. Still looks as if we'll see mid 70s wednesday and thursday. Maybe as high as 77 here thursday.
  2. Yep. Tuesday upper 60s to near 70. Wednesday and thursday mid 70s, and near 70 on friday. A very warm week except for 1 normal day on monday. And the cooldown next weekend only takes us back down to near normal.
  3. As SACRUS said, the warmup mid next week looks significant. At least mid 70s wednesday and thursday. The cooldowns, like the ones coming for this sunday/monday and next weekend into early the following week, aren't very impressive with high temps still making it to the low-mid 60s.
  4. After our little cool shot sunday into monday, the warmup for mid next week is looking more and more impressive. Probably well into the 70s wednesday and thursday next week, before the next cool shot for the weekend of the 23rd.
  5. My vegetable garden is still going strong too. Still lots of tomatoes and peppers. I love winter obviously, but I always hope that the first frost comes late. Thankfully the cool shot coming around the 22nd of october doesn't appear anywhere near strong enough to threaten frost here. Want to extend the growing season as much as possible. Hopefully no frost until early november. And I have some more hardy plants like raspberries that keep producing until a hard freeze. Some years I am still picking raspberries in late November. I'm hoping it stays mild until late November, and then bring on winter.
  6. That's the important thing to me. I don't mind if a winter has warmer than normal temps as long as we get a good amount of snow. Since the winter of 2002-2003, we've had average to above average snowfall in 14 out of 19 winters. And of course many of those were way above average snowfall. So we're on a very good run in the snowfall department, despite the winters having mild temps overall.
  7. Yeah 12z Euro gets the rain out of the way quickly sunday night.
  8. Thank you! And happy birthday to you in advance! I'm turning 44 on tuesday.
  9. Nice to see a decent amount of sunshine this afternoon. The temp popped up to 77 here. Plenty of upper 70s days coming, tomorrow and again next week. We'll see if we can touch 80 a couple times.
  10. Apple picking is a nice activity. Have a great birthday! My birthday is next week as well, on tuesday.
  11. It's going to be close friday. It might stop in the upper 70s due to too many clouds.
  12. I think we have a decent chance of hitting 80 next week. I love warm weather in october.
  13. 70 degrees here, and it feels great with the dewpoint in the low 40s. Perfect Fall day.
  14. Had a few moderate downpours here with a few rumbles of thunder. Picked up about a quarter inch of rain.
  15. Coming down in buckets here now. Easily gonna get over an inch of rain from this line.
  16. Yeah, I was just gonna mention that Euro doesn't bring the rain in until thursday night.
  17. Beautiful radar shot right there. I went out for a late night run after the storm, and saw some of the damage. The other side of my block has no power, and I saw 2 large trees down. I feel bad for the people that lost power, but that was a dream t-storm for a weather fanatic. Easily one of the top 5 t-storms in my lifetime. Enjoyed it tremendously.
  18. Yeah, a ton of lightning. But the wind was the biggest story here. It's been a long time since a t-storm has delivered wind gusts over 60mph here. The pounding sound against the north side of my house (rain and hail) was incredible. We were lucky to not lose power from this storm.
  19. WOW. This is the most intense t-storm we've had in several years here. North wind gusting 60 to 70mph and pea sized hail. Can't remember seeing wind this strong from a t-storm here for a long time. You can barely see outside with the torrential rain blowing sideways. Lots of lightning too. Amazing storm.
