Waking up to see it got to Cat 4 is whoa. Yeah the potential was there but you never assume.

That was probably almost as bad as the derecho wind wise. Legit 50-60 winds at times with higher gusts. Lost power briefly but back on now. 
 

Went from severe warning to TOR to flood in 20 min. 
 

Also had to help two gas line contractors who got stuck in the storm because it hit fast and their car wasn’t close by. They were under a damn tree of all things. So got them under my my porch and out of the rain and wind

I tend to agree with you -- took the below pic/vid about 5 minutes ago. Hearing some thunder now, but I think we missed out on the "big stuff." OTOH...I don't think I want to deal with what Westminster, MD is facing right now.  :/

Def had that cell that popped take energy away from things.  Like you and that pic there were some really cool looking clouds tho.  Not that I want severe like others are seeing but this has been a run of the mill strong summer thunderstorm here.  Lots of wind(nothing bad), lots of T&L, heavy rains.

Clouds look so wicked. Had some good gusts but main part was just to my north. Still waiting for things to hit here

Just had a cell pop up over me and it rained for 5 min. Watch it ruin the line coming at me
