Missed every single storm yesterday here on the slower lower. Back home got crushed from what I heard. At least 1”

It’s gonna be a scorcher here at the beach today. Hoping the breeze is as good today as it was yesterday. And also hoping for some storms for early fireworks

Down at the eastern shore and waiting for some storms to get here. Lots of thunder

a quick .35"

Def noticeable crappy AQ. Doesn’t seem quite as smoky as a few weeks ago but still gross. Hazy and warmer so now it feels thicker

It is interesting that there were several "gaps". It wasn't only DC, but the VA/NC border, the NC/SC border, and NE PA. These are things that are just simply unpredictable at this point.
Feels like the days of linear storms along a boundary are gone. The proliferation of taco bells is the problem

I apologize to all my DC area peeps. It’s my fault it didn’t storm. I yelled at the clouds too loudly. I hurt it’s feelings and it then said FU

My guess is clouds break for DC at 3pm which gives 2 hours of sun while lee trough now forming west of 81 gets going. Line moves East and breaks into segments.
Congrats Hagerstown up to M/D and from Warrenton south
This was my best call since joining this dumb website

The good news is that it already looks better for northern areas just an hour later. Still plenty of fail modes today, but it's hard to take any HRRR solutions seriously, as I can't imagine how our dew points crash into the upper 50s / lower 60s on southerly winds.
Weather words that are never said:
DRY SOUTHERLY WINDS
