  1. Got home from work and was surprised to see just shy of 4" in my bucket. From radar I was estimating I got between 2.5-3". I was worried about my corn lodging (falling over) with that much water in soil alone with the wind i hear we also had. Everything is fine thankfully. With growing crops it's surviving from storm to storm.
  2. Radar starting to light up to the SW. Hopefully we can get some storms around here today.
  3. Medical marijuana works wonders on my chronic stomach issues. A couple puffs and 30 minutes later I'm ready to eat.
  4. That's about all I got here also. At least I didn't have to run the sprinklers for one evening. Edit: just checked the rain bucket. Looks like little bit over half inch. Not bad.
  5. Was it supposed to rain? HRR hardly had anything. I'll be running sprinklers this evening because it doesn't look like much rain any time soon.
  6. I guess my sprinklers won't get a break next week after all. That little bit of rain i got yesterday didn't do much. Getting pretty dry here again.
  7. Looks like some scattered showers on radar this morning. Glad I ran the sprinklers on my corn last night. Only ended up with .05" from a shower overnight. HRRR gives my area east of DC more storms today. Not so much west of the city.
  8. I've got a 60×50' fenced in garden. I also have a 40×50' corn plot. The corn plots need consistent watering. I don't care about my grass. My corn is the only grass on property I care about lol.
  9. Another perfect morning in the garden. Sunny and 60. Looks like the sprinklers will be busy this week.
  10. They sure did. Flood flood watch through noon tomorrow. We do feast or famine really good around here. Except for snow. Just famine there lol
  11. Yeah. I work in the Severna Park area. Should be lots of standing water today. I live about 12 miles SW of there. 1.70" here. Nice stormy night for sure.
  12. Get one on a tripod. I've got 2 going in my garden. Looking like some seriously dry weather incoming after we fail today and Tomorrow.
  13. Any prospects for rain? I don't bother with severe around here. Widespread severe has happened like twice in the 41 years of my life.
  14. Glad I set my sprinklers up last night. I know how these stormy days end up this time of year. I didn't want to be out there setting up sprinklers for my corn in this heat and humidity. Cloudy, humid and increasingly dry.
  15. I've got a batch of corn that broke the surface in 5 days. Usually takes 7. Must be good seed bursting weather.
  16. I think i heard thunder once and it's almost June.
  17. I saw the forecast yesterday for a possibility rainy week. I immediately set up my sprinklers and positioned them for a heavy watering week. Im not new here. Another foggy ugly morning with temps in 60's. Looks pretty socked in. I doubt we see sun today.
  18. I know, right. Just another cloudy, damn and shitty morning. It looked like it me a decent morning at around 7. Then the fog and mist rolled in right on time.
  19. Yup. Perfect weather today to get everything buttoned up in the garden before the heat kicks in. I'll be doing a solid day of garden work today. Enjoy
  20. I've been noticing that also. My potato crop is doing fantastic this year due to light frosts and cool temps. The cold only caused a tiny bit of leaf damage but killed off any pest like potato beetles, mites ect that give me issues normally. I've got twelve, 45' rows this year. My first round of sweet corn has been up for about a week. The day i planted the seed was only 50 degrees. That was a first. I'm planting second batch tomorrow. It's been a slow start for tomatoes, cucumbers, squash ect.
  21. Heavenly morning for the garden. Warm and sunny after almost an inch of rain overnight. Seeds will be sprouting with temps near 80 today.
  22. Another typical November day. Cloudy, cool and shitty once again. It's been the same temperature for 7 solid months. Never seen anything like it.
  23. I rather have the 3-6" of rain then another cloudy boring week with low 60's and drizzle. Cloudy, 60 with drizzle
  24. 71 degrees with a nice breeze. Perfect evening for some high grade legal weed on the patio and a little fire in the fire pit.
  25. Oh wow. I see that. Looks like a possible soaker on the way. The grass and garden will be happy.
