    Looks like a decent slug of moisture to the SW of DC. It's drifting NW and holding together for now. Might be a wet morning for the DC area and to the east.

    Perfect day for finishing up my firewood stacking and getting the yard cleaned up. Definitely a bit of a chill in the air. Looks like another night with the woodstove burning.

    I've had a problem being able to see lightning in my area my entire life. I've always lived near trees. I use to get in my car and drive to some spots I had. Life changed forever back in January when I bought a drone. This evening I took that thing 350' straight up and parked it in the sky. I sat there with a huge smile on my face watching lightning and the sunset. The rain shaft was amazing. I could see it coming at me as it was engulfing the landscape as it headed my way. This drone is life changing lol

    I heard that too. I did it. I drank lots of water before and all evening after. Not a single side effect. Woke up feeling great this morning. I had Moderna dose 1 yesterday.

    Oh for sure. Great for parents that don't want to smell up the house and neighborhood or chilling on the boat or the beach. Sun and alcohol don't mix. Some cannibus oil and some cold water to drink makes for a fun healthy day in the sun imo.

    I don't drink but I did get home and enjoyed a nice hybrid strain of medical marijuana that packed a punch. Jabbed at 3pm. Chilling by 4:20. Process was smooth. Round 2 in a few weeks. Thank you science.

    The black oaks and pin oak are in the red oak family. They're suffering too

    The red oak trees are dieing off as well. Too much rain and subtropical conditions are killing them in big numbers. It's really sad.

    Just had some impressive wind gust in the past 15 minutes. I'd estimate 45 mph at least. Not much rain but that wind was pretty cool. I actually hear some more roaring in the distance. Wind isn't done yet.

    They do hibernate. I was taking logs off my firewood stack last week. I pulled a log off and a half asleep bat plopped on the ground. I left it alone and it was gone the next day. It warmed up enough that it probably took off.

    Looks like another over performer inbound. Crazy how it doesn't just rain anymore. It's always a flood event pretty much every time it rain.

    Ugh.. I lived here for 5 years. I remember burning my woodstove in May while 5 miles inland would be sunny and 75. I'd be 50 with low clouds and fog. Even early June can be sneakily shitty lol.

    I'm down in OC on business this week. Yesterday was foggy and about 48 degrees. Miserable this time of year at the coast.

    You should stop by for a severe fail later this spring. Maybe swing by for a tropical fail later this summer. If not I'll see you next season for more winter fails.

    I'm a fan of high 50's low 60's. Even high 50's is short sleeve weather when you're out in the sun. Looks dry too. Perfect potato growing weather. Cold and wet causes seed potatoes to rot.

    Tilled my potato plot yesterday and was surprised how dry it was even down 12 inches. It was perfect for tilling. I thought it would never dry out concerning how wet it was 10 days ago. Higher sun angle and warm winds did the job. Cooler this morning. 45 degrees
