    Severe in Mid Atlantic meaning to me: Today there's a chance I won't have to water my garden. Severe around here is like last night. Some random cell produces a micro burst. Organized widespread Severe has happened like twice in my 43 years of life here.

    I looked outside and saw the clouds and fog and thought it must be a severe day lol. 67 with low clouds and fog.

    Another perk of living here in Carroll County is that it's dark and clear. I've seen a few already.

    Conditions have improved here in Carroll County. Sunny skies with a stiff breeze. I can almost see the wind shear.

    Rain and drizzle all morning. Ahhh..severe season is back. I'm not sure how anyone can get that excited for severe in this area. It's more rare then getting 2' of snow.

    Yup. Every year people act all surprised lol. It's the only weather we do well around here with. Of course it's going to be 90+ in mid May. It's MD lol

    Looking forward to seeing what flooding is like here on Parrs Ridge this summer. Lots of crazy hills, valleys and ridges. Water must go crazy around here when we flood. My neighbor said they get springs basically shooting out of ground when it gets bad. Anyway.. looking forward to a nice rainy couple days. It's good for the vegetation.

    Headed up into the Catoctins for a little Sunday drive with my little lady on our way to the dispensary this morning lol. Edit: Chilly up there today. The trees are still pretty much totally bare still at the top. Looked like dead of winter. Pretty cool

    Got to 34.1 for a low. Fruit trees look good still. Windy and wintry though. Better then heat.

    Looks like we're socked in with clouds and cool temps here in Northern MD this morning. Hopefully the warm front blast north. 55 degrees here at 938'. Edit: Sun is out and it's warming up.

    Warm air must be moving in aloft because it's actually warmer here then there. I've noticed this since I've been here. Days where warmer air is moving in it's warmer here at higher elevation. One morning back in December it was 41 here but down the road in this little river valley it was frosty and 31.

    Does a "overrunning pattern" actually exist during the cold months? I remember it like once in my life lol. It's mentioned a lot though.

    I'm thinking the same for here as well. I'm at 27.8. Wind is blowing snow around like powder. I think this next round will probably give us NW fokes a little more fun. Flakes seem to be increasing already.

    That's what I have here. I slant sticked 4.5" but I'm going with 4 for now. Another 1-3 would be sweet.

    Crazy the difference being west makes. Over here the grass is gone and roads are ready for plows. 29.9 with blizzard conditions.

    Heavy blowing snow and a temp of 29. Looks like the morning of March 93 out there right now. Looks like we're working on 2" already.

    Parrs Ridge is looking sexy this morning. Holy crap! 32.1 and steady dropping. Winds and snow are ripping. Best conditions I've seen this season.

    Getting missiles here on the ridge right now. Not much sleet. Just basically rain to blizzard.
