This shit sucks but, damn.. there's some funny stuff in these threads. Not to be cheesy, but it makes this lifestyle much easier knowing there's other weirdos like myself out there lol.
No storm?
Cold smoke?
Rain?
This is 4 days out and humans have 0 clue what's coming. Things haven't changed that much since I was a kid. I remember 35 years ago it was the same theme until the snow was on the ground. I remember Justin Berk on the news getting me pumped for failures lol
I almost didn't make. I almost barfed in the LR thread. Anyway..
I'm going to get ready to make a frozen dogshitman next week. I'm sure it will warm up in time for our next tropical storm.
2016 sucked lol. We had 4 days of cold. A freak snow that melted 36 hours later with temps in the 60's. That was it for that winter. Sure.. better then the garbage lately, but hardly a good winter. 2014-15 was the last winter we had basically.
It's water blowing off the building you're in lol. Not snow.
It's getting pretty impressive here. I stopped at Bacon Ridge in Crownsville at a high spot (185-200'). The wind was roaring across the highest treetops on the ridge tops. It was calm in the wetlands down below. The creeks are definitely starting to flood.
Wind and rain are cranking here. I just drive down 450, towards Annopoils. The fresh water flooding is starting and the salt water flooding isn't far behind. I expect that road to be closed tonight. The South River is already starting to flood into the woods.
I'll be down in Annopoils checking conditions this evening. Should be interesting. I'm surprised how much the wind has already picked here. I've got heavy rain and creeks starting to rise.
I'm plotting my storm chase for this evening. I'm going to start out at Bacon Ridge. It's AA county's mountain range. Then I'll head to downtown Annopoils. From there I'm thinking Chesapeake Beach. I'll take back roads home from there. I just hope I'm not running weed plants into my house in pitch black due to power outages. I'm thinking about evacuating my plants from my greenhouse before the big gust.
School is closing because society is soft as f*ck. I remember trees falling on the kids at my bus stop. The ones that got missed dragged the kids that got hit onto the bus.
Our best dead ratters usually feature flooding rain and ski resorts all up and down the coast closing in January. We're checking all the boxes. Hopefully that pattern change hits in April so we can stay in the 50's with rain all spring, too.
When the trees are bare they can easily handle even wind gust to 60, even with wet ground. Wind gust to 45 are pretty common and would be boring and uneventful lol
Finally. This storm look to be the most interesting storm this season. I'm about storms. Not just snowstorms. I've seen euro put out wind gust 60-80 from Annopoils to OC. I'll take my hurricane conditions and Jeb walk it.
Is anyone following the wind bag the models are pumping out for Tues night? I saw max gust to 80 mph from Annopoils to OC. Finally something interesting?
Coldest night of the season so far. Low of 26 lol. I think this is the 4th time below 30 this extended fall. Back to boring weather as far as the eye can see.
