    Pretty muggy out here this evening. Looks like parts of VA are breaking the dry spell. Not here.. ground is rock hard. My well watered garden looks beautiful since it hasn't been beaten up by thunderstorms. My corn is 7' tall. It hasn't rained since it was thigh high.

    Gfs tries to get some rain in our area by the end of it's run. Of course that will change in 6 hours, but it's better then nothing, I guess.

    I dug 375 pounds of potatoes and hardly broke a sweat. Stunningly beautiful morning.

    Had to put on a light jacket last evening. I'm headed out to dig up three 60' rows of potatoes. With a temp in the 50's it couldn't get any nicer.

    I've got a 50×60' fenced in garden. I've got a 7' tall fence. My garden wouldn't last the night without it. I call it "the cage". I've been working in the cage and seen deer standing outside looking at me. I stay humble in the eyes of the enemy, but once he retreated I promptly flipped them the bird. I'm growing lots of potatoes, corn, squash, zucchini and corn. Lots of silver queen planted this year.

    Looks like a flood disaster setting up from Ellicott City over towards Baltimore. Radar is very impressive.

    Looks like the severe threat is becoming a flood threat. Looks like a wet night shaping up in the DC metro area.

    I'm getting bombed with lightning and dumping rain. Radar is stacked like I haven't seen in a long time. Fun stuff!!

    I don't even care about severe. I just want rain. Doesn't look like it's going to happen today. I guess I'll pull the garden hose out again.

    I'm a bit of a farmer and I believe in the drought thread lol. This has been one of the drier winters I can remember. The ponds in my area are pretty low. I hope the drought breaks with grid clogging blizzards

    I was down near Cambridge yesterday. I was impressed with the snow cover. Congrats lower shore weenies. I lived down there for 5 years so I know the struggle.

    You killed that. Dead on what I was thinking. 1/25/2000 gets mad extra points for surprise factor and snowfall rates. That storm ripped from beginning to end.

    February 2010 was a GOAT storm for me. I measured 28" in the same spot I measured 22" from the 2016 blizzard. Both amazing storms

    I feel the same. It's like we can kick back and relax for the rest of winter. Anything else that falls is just a bonus.
