  1. I chose a nice week for a vacation at the beach. Hot and sunny all week. Looks like a nice July on tap. Oh wait.. it's October.
  2. DC split in full affect. I don't really care. I just want this nasty swamp pattern to break.
  3. Another busted flood watch. This storm was a bust in many areas.
  4. About 2.25" of rain in my bucket since Friday. I missed the convective stuff on Friday. Yesterday was a nice cool, rainy day. Hopefully we can get into some hurricane destruction later in the week.
  5. DC crush job incoming. I hope it comes east so that I can get in on it.
  6. Sounds like DC is getting rocked. I'm 30 miles to the east and I can hear the show. Probably flood warnings coming any time for DC.
  7. FFW extended into the DC area. I'm hearing some thunder to my SW.
  8. It looks like it's a bit west, but it definitely it sends it to the fish. It does look like it will push a nice swell towards the coast.
  9. 54 at my house this morning. Next week looks brutally hot. End of week looks humid and nasty. Can't wait until October.
  10. Got over an inch of rain yesterday. Should be nice for a few days before the heatwave next week. My point and click is looking brutal next week.
  11. HRRR gives me another break today. Looks nice and dry.
  12. At least the clouds will keep temps down. I'll take anything that holds temps down.
  13. I noticed the rain chances decreased on my point and click. Heavy rain events are boring, anyway. I had enough last week. I'm ready for something different, like a hurricane or something.
  14. I've been getting crushed since Saturday. I've picked up another 2.60" since 6:40am this morning. I've had 13.05" since Saturday. I don't have a fancy rain gauge, so that's a very good estimate. Regardless.. were waterlogged like crazy. Radar suggests my area isn't done for tonight. Radar lighting up to my SE.
  15. Radar looks like it's starting to light up a little bit. I wonder if the hrrr is onto something.
  16. I got bullseyed big time yesterday. I was in DC when it started. It didn't get bad until I got just east of Bowie. Then the sky opened up like wild.
  17. 9.63" since Saturday. The storm that came through yesterday evening was electrified like crazy. I witnessed 2 trees within 200' of each other get struck by lightning. I was standing on my patio about 200' from the action. The second one (closest one) had me running for the door. Trees were sliding off the hillside that is along the road that I use to access my neighborhood. We were trapped in here by trees to the left and floods to the right. Wild day
  18. Almost 4" today. 2" fell in about 45 minutes. I've got flooding like I've never seen in my life. It's dumping rain as I type.
  19. Hrrr brings more fun this afternoon. At this point I hope this week is historic in the rain department. I already have 5.63" from yesterday. That's a good start. I'd like to see at least 10".
  20. I had to dump my gauge at 5". That was at 11pm. Eyeballing .35 since then. Destroyed my garden, but at least it's performing.
  21. I've been watching that blob of heavy rain moving up the bay. Chesapeake Beach has been getting crushed. Just heard a rumble of thunder to my south and the rain is really picking up. I think it's about to get real here in AA country.
  22. 3.50" here and dumping buckets. The death band is pivoting back over my area. I hope I can catch those big totals being reported from it.
  23. Just enough rain to destroy my corn crop. Now I'm in a dry spot. Next
  24. Beautiful morning. Picked up .25" yesterday. Well, at least I got one evening off from watering the garden. Should be dry as a bone by this evening.
  25. Looks like HRRR wants to bring those storm in southern PA down through central MD.
