  1. That kick was pretty pathetic, but the Browns played the game they needed to. They really should have 1 or 2 more wins. The Ravens have some issues to deal with if they think they are a contender. One thing I would do next week is sit Crabtree and start Moore. Something is not right with him. Maybe his eyesight.
  2. Same old Ravens. Playing crappy against a bad team. Browns are better than they have been, but good teams take care of business. They are doing exactly what they need to to allow the Browns to win their second game.
  3. 84/73, HI over 90 You kidding me? I was hoping the clouds wouldn't break, but its been pretty much full sun here for a few hours.
  4. Ever see the movie Motel Hell?
  5. Yeah it always seems to perpetually snow there with a cold air mass, often overperfoming the forecasts. Looking at things 3-4 days prior, it looked to be super cold but seemed iffy for a solid foot on the ground. Not ideal if you want to snowshoe. I'll get there. The blizzard on the beach was amazing, so it was a good decision. Not often you see wind driven powder right on the coast this far south.
  6. Beautiful. You literally have all the same shots I took, lol.
  7. I did the same 'waterfall tour' a couple summers ago when I went on a hiking trip. If course, I intentionally went there during summer, expecting summer weather, lol. I think it was probably overall more comfortable then, as compared to your "fall" trip. I remember the humidity being pretty low. It is gorgeous out there, and some of my best ever shots were taken in that area. I still want to get out to Canaan during winter and do some snowshoeing. With my schedule, it pretty much has to be the first week in Jan, but the weather has not cooperated the past 2 winters. Both times the beaches beat Canaan for significant snow, so I went there instead. Go figure.
  8. I like the cold. I will take a bitter cold blast that yields little snow, because the great majority of winters it's not a persistent feature in this region. A Nina winter can and will screw this area regardless of the degree of cold. And it can work out sometimes, even in Nina- the coastal blizzard in January came during the 'cold and dry' period. It just didn't happen for the cities and points west. If this winter is going to feature an El Nino, there will be some chances for juicy storms in the MA. Hopefully there will be enough cold around during those times, otherwise there will be constant complaints of warm and wet, lol.
  9. Man I am so done with this stagnant upper ridge. Warm and humid, and the damn mosquitoes wont go. Not fun being outside for an extended period. One more week of this grossness, then hopefully we are on to some actual nice fall weather. Putting my outside projects on hold until then. Tired of sweating and getting bit, lol. Enough already.
  10. Hopefully it will dry out and clear up some by afternoon. Clouds started to break a little here with a few peaks of sun last hour, but now back to low overcast. At least the drizzle has stopped.
  11. That's definitely a higher flow than when I was there. I am looking at the photo I took right now- its on my fireplace mantle lol. From the vantage point in your photo I climbed down to water level and took a picture of the falls. Ended up being one of my all time favorite shots.
  12. I should dig my photos up from a few years ago. Just going on memory the falls were ripping pretty good then too.
  13. Yup. I am thinking I will finally be going with plan A for this winters' road trip- Canaan. Total fluke that the past 2 winters that's where I was planning to go, and both times the most snow during that period ended up at the beaches lol.
  14. Fun times for sure. 007 in OC did better work last Jan in the blizzard with all his vids though.
  15. lol You know what I'm talkin' bout.
  16. Considering I did back to back chases at Rehoboth the last 2 Januarys for the best snowstorm(s) of those winters, seems the immediate coast has been on a bit of roll. That likely wont be the case if we get a legit El Nino, however. Those areas could still do okay, but areas further inland would likely be the biggest beneficiaries.
  17. Fwiw (not much) latest CFS runs are looking pretty decent for Dec and Jan, and quite good for Feb and March. This has been a gradual trend for the better from recent total crapola runs. Of course, we all know how it goes with that model.
  18. Great physical comic. Underrated for sure.
  19. It's been around 64 for most of the afternoon with spotty drizzle. I am not hating this. If it continues for most of tomorrow, then I will be hating this.
  20. They can be, but I have found plenty that are really good. Of course I love stouts, and I love coffee, lol. If you haven't tried Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Imperial stout, give that a go. I really like it.
  21. Gives the stink bugs more time to find their way into my house.
  22. Love coffee stouts. Perfect marriage. Coffee in a IPA is just wrong.
  23. The Ravens might be pretty good. They left a lot of points on the field though. Should have been a complete blowout.
  24. October scorcher is torcher.
  25. 73/59 currently. Awesome. Too bad we will be 10 degrees warmer with dew points probably 10 degrees higher for much of this week.
