  1. Still seeing it on the op runs to some extent, but it doesn't look like a rex block where it would truly cutoff and spin in place for a week. Also appears it would be located much further to the east or northeast at h5 than the previous 'events'. All subject to change of course.
  2. Ensemble means still showing the tendency for a trough/NW flow at h5 along the east coast for the foreseeable future. Mean ridge and +height anomalies stay west/nw of our area. Looks like generally "normal" temps over the next 10 days, which is plenty hot enough for me.
  3. I like a good fish n chips every so often. I just try like heck to stay away from eating fried foods in general. It just doesn't appeal to me much, and I know what its doing to my arteries lol. I would have to drink a lot more red wine!
  4. I am a big cod fan. (Not a fan of the fried donut covered variety). That looks awesome!
  5. Now, watch it rain in the next couple hours. I need 4-6 hours with no rain for this fungicide lol.
  6. I just sprayed it. A shiit ton lol. A lot more brown out there than I thought. If its a fungus, I should see some results. Intuitively I have always thought(and still think) this is more of an indication that the tree roots are winning out and starving the grass of nutrients. We shall see. In other news, I saw a legit tarantula in the grass while I was spraying. Biggest spider I have ever seen here, and there are plenty of big wolf spiders. This thing was textured/bumpy and ugly af. I should have taken a picture, but my first instinct was to stomp on that mother fu**ker, lol.
  7. I took the advice of @WinterWxLuvr and went to a local AG place that sells blends of grass seed specifically for the soils of the eastern shore. The dude there was very knowledgeable, and he recommended spraying. Based on my description, his recommendation for a product was Fung-onil, so I went with that. I might get it sprayed tonight, as it seems unlikely it will actually rain lol.
  8. Barrel aged Narwhal to kick off HH. Really good stuff.
  9. I will let you know when I figure it out lol.
  10. Cant hurt. I'll stop at Lowes and grab something on the way home. Thanks.
  11. So apparently the fungi/spores are always there but they do the damage when grass become stressed for whatever reason. I just always assumed it was burning due to the sun/soil dryness. Maybe worth spaying the whole area using a garden sprayer? Not a big area at all where I am trying to maintain some decent grass.
  12. Actually maybe I am wrong. Just looked it up and fungus can occur do to dryness. Shows my ignorance. Looking at the photos, it looks like what I am seeing now. Patchy brown spots where it appears the grass is going to thatch. It occurs in places where the sun is beating down on it all day. Maybe I should put up a few small canopies lol.
  13. That's one thing I have never had to worry about here lol.
  14. Plenty green here, for now. If it doesn't rain every few days this time of year I have to water to nurse the grass along though. Super well drained soil plus competition from large trees all around makes it a difficult task with high sun and long, hot days..
  15. As expected, it all pretty much died as it moved eastward. 0.00" Not looking very promising for here today either. Sprinkler time! #mustsavethegrass
  16. Yeah it does look pretty impressive. Models sometimes kill the convection too quickly. If anything makes it here it will be a pleasant surprise.
  17. These storms will likely fall apart as they move eastward towards the bay this evening. Models have clearly depicted that. There is a bit of ridging(subsidence) behind the departing upper low in eastern areas, plus the energy with the shortwave is moving more north than east. Eastern/NE MD may not see much of anything. I will be cranking up the sprinkler again by tomorrow lol.
  18. Ha we will see how it works out. We almost always go into torch mode for much of July and August.
  19. Looking at the ensemble guidance, it appears a strong upper ridge with an axis to our west builds at the end of the month into the first few days of July. That would keep us in more of a NW flow, but with the ridge so close, it would likely be at least a bit above normal, but nothing out of the ordinary. Beyond that, the GEFS retros the ridge and we end up with this. Looks kinda familiar. Its pretty far out, but not seeing any strong indications of a prolonged period of excessive heat for our area, and I will gladly take it.
  20. DFH American Beauty Hazy Ripple IPA Perfect IPA for a summer day. Unfiltered and very aromatic, with hints of peach and a bit of orange. I really like this one.
  21. About 25 bucks and 33%.
  22. 3.86" for the month after 0.80" today. Was pretty dry the past 10 days though, so much needed.
  23. You made up some ground today.
  24. It's all downhill beginning tomorrow. Days get shorter as we head towards another forgettable winter.
  25. Sure has. 69 here. Clouds are breaking and very comfortable.
