  1. I guess this makes sense- the game was not called because of rain- rather due to ineptitude in rolling out a freaking tarp lol. Still ridiculous.
  2. Not like its going to make a difference in the end, but ineptitude in rolling out a tarp has nothing to do with the fact that both teams recorded 15 outs, and the game was not tied. That is an official game.
  3. That cannot override the fact that they completed 5 innings, which occurred regardless of any "technical difficulties".
  4. I still need an answer as to why this is not an official game. The rules are clear. Unless there are some new exceptions in place due to the shortened season..but that wouldn't make any sense in this case.
  5. You seem a little hysterical. You don't seem to be able to make a distinction between having a little fun with the situation, and serious discussion/speculation of the data we have in front of us.
  6. Do you ever pay attention here? Get a grip dude.
  7. I am simply in touch with reality.
  8. What am I missing here? Wasn't the game in the top of the 6th? I mean, yeah, I have been drinking, but this still doesn't seem right.
  9. Seriously? That was like the tiniest cell. Not like it rained for hours. Grounds crew must have seriously effed it up I guess.
  10. Given how bad things are looking... are you currently accepting applications?
  11. All MA weenies seem to pine for/ romanticize the idea of snowy Decembers. Sorry. You want that? Drive to the micro climate mountain regions, or head to NE.
  12. What is the rationale for this? A weak Nina? The reality is this- climo mean/median for the coastal plain of the MA, and even the Piedmont in most years, clearly shows that December is more of a fall month, and it simply doesn't snow much.
  13. ^Wheres Mersky? Obligatory reaction required here.
  14. Track tropical. Could be epic. When winter comes, be prepared to travel. There should still be some really good deals on airfare.
  15. Its very rural here, so plenty of privacy and peace and quiet, outside of farm equipment running in the distance. A little remote, but I don't mind that. Not too far from the beach, Annapolis, etc. I am considering a move in the next year or 2 to a colder climate.
  16. That was quite the eighth inning last night. Doolittle did nothing.. for his team.
  17. He is a good guy, but the reality is he cant hit(which is what he is paid to do) and never will again. If the Orioles have a prospect with promise, and who is ready, then cutting Davis is addition by subtraction. Lots of teams eat big contracts. Not the Orioles. This is why they are who they are.
  18. First section seeded, fertilized, covered in a layer of peat moss, and watered. With the warm soil temps, it should not take too long to see how this turns out.
  19. Yes it was posted a page back. Incredible though.
  20. lol "possible in the future." "need 100 times more ensemble members". All to tell us what we already know. A legit -NAO during winter is now an urban myth.
  21. I test it and condition as needed, Its right where it needs to be- slightly acidic.
  22. Got it covered. Check out my post in the lawn/garden/pool thread.
  23. Yes. This makes me happy. And today I have begun to prep for reseeding my burnt lawn. First batch of seed should go down tomorrow morning.
  24. From Mount Holly AFD- Cold front slowly approaches during the week and will move into the region by Thursday. Models seem to indicate that the front will become nearly stationary over the area at the end of the week. If that happens, there could be a prolonged period of wet weather to close out the week as multiple rounds of convection would develop as a series of weak low pressure systems develop and ride along the front. With high dew points into the end of the week (generally low 70s), heavy rain should be a threat.
  25. GFS looked pretty wet late week into next weekend.
