  1. Another month or so and anything resembling a cool night will be hard to come by until maybe September.
  2. low of 37 here. Beautiful day upcoming.
  3. 63 with a dp of 21. Glorious.
  4. Mount Holly- On Saturday, further modification of the airmass is expected despite northwest winds 10-15 mph continuing. High temperatures are expected to be mostly in the mid 60s. With the weakening gradient, a sea breeze is likely to develop into the afternoon, so the coastal areas will likely experience their daily maximum temperature in the morning. The lessening winds and slightly warmer temperatures will make for a generally more pleasant day than the prior two or three, but high dewpoint depressions will once again result in low relative humidity values around 20%. So the dry air will be fairly unpleasant. Uh, not to me. I'll moisturize.
  5. Low of 32 with some frost.
  6. I have been a bit bored with the usual NE style IPAs, but have generally not been a fan of the 'milkshake' variety either. Enter Cloud Cake DIPA from Lone Pine. A very pretty looking hazy IPA, great smell of tropical fruit and hops on the nose, lovely lacing, and a superior creamy mouthfeel. Definitely get a bit of sweetness from the lactose on the finish, but not overdone at all. Enjoyable and fun beer. Lone pine is one of those breweries that seems to always get it.
  7. Interesting drive home from Easton, where it was mostly sunny all day with temps in the low 70s. Here at home it's cool and overcast, with a temp of 60.
  8. Temp made it up to 72 in the early afternoon, then dropped into the low 60s with a nice breeze.
  9. High of 65 here. Filtered sun with that NE High pressing and keeping the flow more off the ocean. Yet another great day for getting stuff done outside. Tomorrow should be quite a bit warmer here.
  10. lol you can post whatever you want. What makes you think I 'don't like it', just because I disagree that April has been mostly cold and miserable, or should be in the 70s all the time. It is fine to want that if that's what floats your boat, but like I said, that is more typical of May and unrealistic to expect for much of April, which tends to be changeable. The month will probably end up above average, like just about all months do anymore.
  11. Approaching peak lawn here. It will look great through May, but beyond that will start heading downhill with trees fully leafed out, increased transpiration, and increasing sun angle. Letting it grow and mowing to a height of 4" helped quite a bit last summer. Only had to reseed like half of it lol.
  12. I have quite enjoyed it. Many days that feel like Fall, and since our Fall weather seemingly comes later each year and bleeds into winter, I love not having a longwave pattern that switches instantly to the usual persistent warm/humid. This is what April should be. I am hoping this continues well into May, where ofc temps would be warmer, but stave off the inevitable perpetual MA heat.
  13. He gets it. He just doesn't get why you focus on those days. We get sucky days in every month to be fair, and what defines a 'not nice' day is subjective.
  14. I heard we don't do wind very well in these parts.
  15. Nothing we can do about any of it, other than take it in stride and enjoy whatever weather we get. Not like it's been cloudy/rainy and miserable for days on end where you can't enjoy the outdoors at all. Put a jacket on and go for a hike. Refreshing. At least you can walk more than 10 feet without sweating profusely, and no flies and mosquitoes biting at you, although that will all become the norm soon enough and last for months. I will adapt to it and still do my thing outdoors, although I find it to be less comfortable.
  16. Decent looking -NAO being advertised on the means as we head into May.
  17. To each their own. I expect Spring to be changeable, and I enjoy the cooler days mixed in as they will quickly become few and far between then completely non existent for several months going forward. And yes we need some rain in April and May before we become solely dependent on scattered convection for moisture during most of the summer.
  18. GFS loses if recent history means anything. Spilt the difference between the Euro and CMC. I will side closer to the Euro. 70 seems about right. What a day it will be!
  19. Pretty decent rain event here. Nothing extraordinary. 0.62" so far. Most guidance(and the forecast) had 0.75-1" for this area.
  20. They consider a lot more than the snow maps though, which was mostly what I saw being posted/discussed here lol. Pretty tough to be bullish on snowfall in mid April outside of the far western highlands. When I looked at the forecast out your way this morning the wording was for some snow, but 'little or no accumulation'. Was the end result really that much different? Maybe they could have started with an inch or less, then upgraded to 1-2. Doesn't seem like an egregious disregard for the guidance, which clearly depicted any significant accumulating snow occurring further west.
  21. Rain has finally begun here and the wind is picking up. The coastal low is starting to get its act together. Temp is 45.
