  1. @MJO812 Should pop in to tell us how great it is.
  2. I think "long duration event" has a different connotation with various people. The vast majority of long duration events at 6-12 hours of heavy snow, and the rest nuisance crap...like this one should be. The heavy hitters are more like 12-18 hours of heavy snow, but you would need faster redevelopment of the mid levels for that....not impossible, but dubious here.
  3. Unless the snowflakes develop at the altitude of your mailbox, which they do not, then surface temps are not one of the larger determinants of ratio. Look at the temp, relative humidity and lift in the layer of the atmosphere where they develop....like 600-800mb.
  4. Worry if you are looking for over 10"....
  5. The UK blows to high hell....I don't care about the verification scores relative to the penguin queefs in Antartica.
  6. Yea, I think you get nailed in that one....take a look at my blog. Its redeveloping as it passes by SNE. First Call: https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2021/02/significant-snows-likely-thursday-night.html
  7. I see your point...to be fair, here is a snap shot of that system.
  8. Some good potential with the one early next week, especially central and western areas.....this is over 24 hours, so that max area would cut through central MA and into NNE, thereafter.
  9. Theoretically speaking, Euro was pretty bad 72 hours out on this one....though I do not expect a repeat.
  10. For once, I am glad that its flying.
  11. Yea, nuts how being 1500' in the Berkshires helps with that.
  12. That must be frustrating after seeing 2008 dangled as such a prominent analog all fall. The blocking has killed you....its not necessarily a death knell, but this year it has been.
  13. Yea, nice tuck down there. Will's area has had the golden weenie award this season...can't beat that area. He even wins rainers somehow.
  14. He does have a point, but I think he just embellished it a bit.
  15. Very true....my only reservation would be expecting a huge March in a mod la nina, but obviously this season is no ordinary mod nina.
  16. I'd be rooting one on if I were you, at this point.
  17. @BostonWX Must love this event with the n shore torching lol
  18. What an absolutely horrendous season for you guys....no saving that, barring a James special featuring the Perfect Storm phasing with an arctic SW.
