Luckily we got hit good last week. A lot of sw to ne flow, which I’ve noticed, tends to work out poorly for me. The South Mts either block things or the cells anchor in that region. I wonder if you’re getting the ol Mt Mitchell block.

Central McDowell where I live can miss out in this type of flow. We rack up with NE/E or SE flow. And do well in S flow. Anything with a W component is very hit or miss.
Ernest T Bass
Huge storm blew up and pummeled east toward 77. Just wet the ground here a little. Story of the summer for the most part.

We still got a decent shower but its interesting to watch these microclimate patterns

BooneWX
4.26” and still lightly raining. It won’t break the drought but it’ll damn sure make a dent.
calculus1
What’d you pull the trigger on? There are some insane deals to be had right now. I bought a 2018 Accord from Lake Norman Genesis. (I would highly recommend them - great service, no pressure, let me drive it to Hickory so my mechanic could give it a look over.)I had a 2014 Accord. Wanted to upgrade a few years, and the older model became my youngest son’s first car. So, we both got new (to us) cars today!

Had one several years ago and it’s by far the most reliable car I’ve driven.
