A lot of sw to ne flow, which I’ve noticed, tends to work out poorly for me. The South Mts either block things or the cells anchor in that region. I wonder if you’re getting the ol Mt Mitchell block.

Mt Mitchell definitely plays a role. Central McDowell where I live can miss out in this type of flow. We rack up with NE/E or SE flow. And do well in S flow. Anything with a W component is very hit or miss.

Huge storm blew up and pummeled east toward 77.  Just wet the ground here a little.  Story of the summer for the most part.

We literally just got split for like the 10th time the past 5 days. We still got a decent shower but its interesting to watch these microclimate patterns

We can just be thankful it's not snow.  We would be going crazy.
