Really thought we’d see more of the bigger totals eventually move this way. And I am still nervous about those minimas showing up on all the models.

But, snow is snow. Let’s see where it ends up

Lee side min ain’t going away until the short range catches on to the meso low

Want a band swath instead of banding to come in, if it comes in. we get the right flow as it moves (for mby yard is it SSW -> NNE then pivots to EEN - > SWW.

Hopefully we can pull something off like January 2003 out of this one. That night was legendary. A solid foot of snow in like less than 12 hours. This has the makings of that potential again. Hopefully we get hammered.

I was at APP when then happened and did not get to experience on the home land. Boone got the shaft with that one If I recall. 

But yes, as of now anything is possible. Im issuing a 12 hr excitement ban for myself. Hopes do not increase til 12 hours before onset. Just enjoy the digital flakes for now

4” of snow this weekend and I’d give the winter an A. 6” and it’s an A+ and best in at least a decade.

Don’t want to be debbie downer but most of you do realize there is always a screw zone on the NW flank of these coastal systems, right?

I don't think anyone knows where that will be at this time. My guess would be west of 77

From the coastal, you’re right. But as the ULL digs down, it’ll be in a good position to put a deform band over western Nc. I have no doubt there’s a higher ceiling down east with bombogenesis but in most setups, this is a 4-7” invent under the ULL.

Closer to the coast, a little more digging west before she turns

Crazy setup. .5” QPF would be almost a foot at 20:1 ratios.

Not to strong also. It is does Bomb out it will pull. Need to walk the line for flow before. This is if it bombs out.

We are in a good spot still. We don't need the coastal to bomb out as much as the Triangle folks. Most of our snow will be from the ULL and meso low.

Exactly and this is what to look for going forward around our Back yards.

Still thinking we are looking at a 3-6 inch event with some higher localized totals.
