This is easily the greenest my front lawn has been in years. It's usually burnt out by the end of july and i can usually go weeks without mowing.

Agreed, no lazy days of summer break from mowing this year, especially with what looks like another wet week coming up. At least today is decent for the NY Air Show here but tomorrow is iffy.

I knew all about it since it’s local, on Thursday I was driving home and saw one of the jets in the distance and thought: cool, the weather is finally decent enough for them to practice. Then a favorite song came on the radio and I started cranking it, windows down, lost in the song if you will and as I got to the bottom of the hill here in the park they buzzed the park completely drowning out my blasting music and quite honestly startled the shit out of me. If I had a cup of coffee I would've spilled some on my shirt and I would've wanted some butts! (Top Gun reference).

That storm got intense for a bit, a big branch fell just missing the power line to the house.

Thank god it didn’t take out the line or the roof.  I’m on the south side of the cell. Not much wind, a lot of thunder with the CTG lightning. Good moderate rain currently.

There wasn’t a lot of wind in general except for two brief periods when I was under the worst of it. The gust was to 25 mph, which is decent for here with all the trees, .71” thru the tipper.

0.27 in the Davis here. That cell to the west is pulsing down now.

12.52” per hour was my high rainfall rate…that explains the water that got into the basement yet again this summer…

Friday and Saturday were as intense rain as I have ever seen.  Gravel driveway washed out yet again.
