DTW ended up 35.1 only .7 from November. Pretty wild that they almost matched.

13th coldest November and 18th warmest December. (Also the 4th snowiest November and 21st least snowy December).

ORD finished +6.3F, which was the 25th warmest December.  2.0" of snow was well below average, but beavis will be mortified to learn that 21 Decembers have managed to produce even less snow in Chicago.

Up until the rain and snow with the system to close out the month, ORD was on pace for the 2nd driest (0.17") and tied for 8th snow-less (0.5") December on record.

This is not a slam, just an observation about our 2 most prolific/snowiest picture posters,

Bow's pics look like they should be in a coffee table book entitled "Winter Wonderland"

Your pics always look like the setting in a Stephen King movie.

I think part of the reason is that those houses have a very New England look to them.

I don't tend to take pictures of the forest/nature. Maybe I will when I'm done with school and get a snowmobile. Till then I mostly just take pictures as an afterthought. I also prefer snow pictures that show the towns rather than the picturesque nonsense of nature, lol.
