north pgh
Its has the look of a classic SWPA slop storm this run. I'd be leery of snow maps in a marginal temperature situation, although I thought I heard wxBell maps no longer count sleet as snow but could be wrong. To bad we don't have a high pressure to the North to funnel in some cold air, fortunately at 6 days out this is likely not the final solution. I have been saying this for 10 years. It must be the mountains or something but it seems like our city is like the top of a pointed roof. Every big snow storm either moves off to the left or right side of that roof. We can't seem to get it just right.

There's TWO pieces. crankyweatherguy @crankywxguy 2m2 minutes agoThe 12z Sunday model runs may be the first ones I'd entertain for TuePM-Wed storm track

Rd9108
Ensembles all over the place. Some weak, some west, some east. We won't have a clue until Saturday but this setup would favor more inland than a coastal.

Rd9108
Yeah, once we see models start to show that warm tongue we can never seem to escape it. Agreed but DT is a notorious Euro hugger. I think crankywxguy has the best outlook. The thing is not even sampled. The models have no idea how to handle the Ridge.

Well that's whats wrong, you need to aleet!!1! him lol His maps usually aren't very accurate for our area, and he seems to hug the Euro but he is not a terrible MET for the area he focuses on. RitualOfTheTrout
Looks like the EPS still have some very solid hits, some east and a couple more west than yesterday. Overall not a bad place to be at this range.
