From Binghamton NWS for my area. Flurries have just begun as well, looks like a solid squall to my immediate nw dropping s.e as we speak too.

SNOW SHOWERS SHOULD BE DEVELOPING SHORTLY ACROSS NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
MONROE AND SUSSEX COUNTIES...MAINLY HIGH TERRAIN. THOSE SNOW SHOWERS
WILL COOL TEMPERATURES TO NEAR FREEZING. GUSTY WEST WINDS WILL SHIFT
TO NORTHWEST THIS EVENING AND BANDS OF SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE MOVING
SOUTHEASTWARD. THERE COULD BE A COATING OF SNOW ABOVE 1000 FT BY AROUND
6 PM.

Not too impressed with this line out here. I just checked the Traffic cams on route 84 here in Pike county where the most intense part of the squall came through, nothing accumulated throughout Pike and Monroe counties, that's for sure.  Average elevation within the area of the cameras is 1,300 to 2,000 feet as well.

I'm getting some very light flurries still here. Nice sight to see regardless!

...SNOW SHOWERS OR POSSIBLY EVEN A SNOW SQUALL WILL AFFECT
MONROE...NORTHERN CARBON...NORTHERN SUSSEX AND NORTHERN WARREN
COUNTIES THIS EVENING...

A BAND OF SNOW SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE SQUALLS APPROACHING SCRANTON
PENNSYLVANIA AT 515 PM WILL ARRIVE ON THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
CARBON AND MONROE COUNTIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AND NORTHERN SUSSEX
COUNTY NEW JERSEY AROUND 6 PM. THIS BAND OF SNOW WAS ALONG A STRONG
COLD FRONT ACCOMPANIED BY A WIND SHIFT TO NORTHWEST. IT WAS MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 40 MPH.

WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE SNOW SHOWERS.

THE SNOW WILL FALL ONTO STILL SOMEWHAT WARM ROAD SURFACES...WHICH
WILL CAUSE IT TO QUICKLY MELT AND THEN RE-FREEZE. THIS COULD CREATE
VERY ICY CONDITIONS IF THE RO

I left Lake Wallenpaupuck at 5:20 to drive back home to Hardyston/Vernon Border in Sussex County and was hit by two wicked snow squalls one in PA and on in NJ. It put me in a winter mode.  I hope we see a lot of precip Tuesday/Wednesday even if it is mostly rain since it is a tinder box outside and the winds will make fires dangerous.  If we get snow even better but models are all over the map so too hard to venture an educated guess on precip type at this time.
