40/70 Benchmark
Unless NYE conjures up some measureable, than this will tie 1999 for my worst December on record, dating back to 1956, with a trace of snowfall.
weathafella
Bad December. Op Euro tonight appears to try to turn the pattern especially in the extended. Your January thread is a compromise. Good call early Ray.

40/70 Benchmark
.....to see more than 5" on the month imby.....I've seen enough; the month will not be wintery. Only the second December in my recorded history dating back to 1956, that the town of Wilmington did not receive any measurable snow throughout the entire month.....December of 1999 was the only other with a T. The season of 1999-'00 went on to tally 33.1" on the season. Dating back to 1956, the town of Wilmington had endured December Cancels to the tune of less than 5" a total of 9 times with a mean seasonal snowfall of 46.13"....coincidentally, my ammended outlook calls for a seasonal total of 45-55". ROOSTA
Ironic that atmosphere will balance out in the long term. This December was "bad" in many aspects. Undeniably the handwriting was on the wall and although not as extreme it continues. Going forward the baby steps attitude is the safest way to keep sanity. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
