Gastonwxman
Could be another round in store for spots in N GA if the next area of storms coming across N AL hold together. Pretty scary of how much lightning is going on down in central eastern AL and central GA now. Those boxes demonstrate just that.

Well... if you are in Columbia, SC then it might be a stretch for you to see something good, but don't be surprised... I know in my viewing area that it will be another active day with more hail reports and possible flooding issues if this thing trains over the same areas (which it will probably do).... Another long day of work for me!
CandymanColumbusGA
We sent our chief photographer out to one of the storm cells yesterday and he caught great footage of lightning and of the shelf cloud that formed over Russell County in Alabama. Also, a sheriff's deputy got pictures of the tornado itself. Pretty neat stuff here : http://www2.wrbl.com...era-ar-1633394/

If you look at all the storm reports from yesterday, none of them were for Columbus but all around me there were reports of hail! This only bothers me because I have yet to see hail! Though half dollar sized hail is ridiculous!!! Let's go catch one
CandymanColumbusGA
Well.... A severe thunderstorm watch is up for central Alabama through Georgia and southern South Carolina... LithiaWx
We had one hell of a night in Marietta, GA last night. I was traveling all around town last night before settling in about 10:30PM. There was extremely heavy rain around Metro Atlanta from around 5:00PM - very late last night. The hail that came through around 10:45PM was pretty impressive. Lightning, Hail, Heavy Rain. The hail we had was around dime sized and came down heavy at times. Everything a great storm could be. I like tornadoes but when I'm at home I prefer to not see them lol. ksstormhunter
Just pushed out severe weather analysis for S. AL and GA and N. FL. Right now showing potential for mainly strong convective winds between 50-60kts, hail between 1 and 1.2". Still some good 0-3Km Shear from Ft. Benning to Savannah area, which is around 50kts, so can't rule out some Isolated tornado's nothing greater than F1 or weak F2. City specific severe weather analysis is uploaded here http://smartwxmodel.net/severe.pdf
CandymanColumbusGA
WOW! The cell near Kinston in Alabama had a DBZ return of 70 accroding to the radar we have! That's ridiculous!!! Could only imagine the size of the hail in that storm.
