This won’t be a thing for Rochester. 10 minute white-out followed by cold, wind and flurries.
But. I didn’t realize how close our next synoptic system was. Wow. I’ll have to turn my obsessive gaze in thatMid week looks icy. Next weekend may be a big dog.

So a short-lived potent lake band with arctic front pushing through with lots of wind. Should be a fun 2" or so. Hoping we can get some low-level 25:1 South Shore action after the front.
Lots of wind as well. Not best set up for south shore because of that wind.

Yeah has a nice look. Planning to setup for a few hours tomorrow morning either along the lake or Niagara River. Looks like a nasty squall line could roll through to start and then a couple hour window of 50+mph gusts. Not sure if it’ll be enough to create an “ice tsunami” but only one way to find out!
Should be a ton of blowing snow

Tomorrow should be interesting. Very windy squalls. Mid week looks potentially icy then big snow next weekend?

Looks like a nice connection to gb is developing.

Atleast in my mind this storm will end up as a win in my book. Will probally end up near half a foot on i90 from southern erie County to rochester.

I don't know. Maybe for you guys. I see the Finger Lakes Forcefield combined with the Syracuse Snow Shield are in strong effect as the cold air finally wraps in.
Waiting to see if that bit down near Jamestown fills in more as the wraparound digs in.
Yeah syr probably won't get to much maybe couple inches.

Snow pack held very well. It did take a big hit but id say about 3 inches survived.
-
Is this going to be a rare time where back side wrap around delivers?
