  1. Little under 2” in NW Arlington. I’d still call it light snow, but maybe I’m being a pessimist
  2. GEFS was a hold if not a slight improvement - GFS was on the lower side of it's own members.
  3. It's pretty light in my corner of Arlington as well... think it still might be working it's way to ground truth a little bit.
  4. Have a relative in town who has been trying to fly out of DCA today... airport seems to be basically closed. After 1-2" of snow? Pretty pathetic.
  5. Even just looking at the surface you can tell it's disjointed but feels like it should be more. Still some time
  6. GFS brings some light snow in Thursday night, then again during the day on Friday. T-2" all told
  7. With 1-2" for most already on the ground a lot of us essentially got purpled
  8. You’re on the Hill? I think I’m counting on you to get me a measurement for my apartment on 1st and H St. NW. Godspeed
  9. Yeah I’m shocked to say I’m pretty close to 1.5” as well. At 370’
  10. Huh… roads have caved. Wasn’t watching closely. Game on.
  11. Nice snow band seems to be parked overhead. Can tell it’s picked up a bit in my corner of Arlington. Should be a bit over 1”.
  12. What did you think of the latest NAM Nest, if you don’t mind me asking? Looked to be a decent (and sorta dramatic, at range) shift towards getting us impacts from the coastal. Do you buy that it would be FRZA for the metro if we get any coastal sloppy seconds?
  13. NAM would be a decent icing event - glaciate our 2-4” with a tenth an inch of ice Honestly pretty big shift for so close to game time
  14. Little more aggressive on the backside too… still has a fair bit of us in FRZA rather than snow though
  15. Should be in nowcasting mode of course, but can’t help myself. NAM says the best stuff in the metro is 7-10pm. Would be nice to get a decent sleep tonight so I support evening rippage
  16. Far as the roads go, yeah. Think we might be very slowly stacking it up on the grass. Decent rates in the little green band parked over Arlington at the moment. Think we’ll need to wait til later to really get going, though the consistent snow now is a nice surprise.
  17. @BlizzardNole cool to know you are nearby for work! Gonzaga is a decent neighbor… definitely loud during football season. But the trade off is free entertainment. Only been a terrible work from home partner maybe twice. If I had access to the field, I’d probably stay in DC for snow events. But walking around the urban areas, unless it’s gonna be a blizzard, doesn’t match the jebwalk potential in a residential area imo. It’s also unfortunately less safe
  18. Think I’ve got one of the better views you can have in DC when it comes to snow. Unfortunately I can’t get down to the field (shoutout Gonzaga) to use it to measure, and the courtyards in the complex aren’t fantastic either. I’ll have to trust someone else to measure DC for me…. I’d guess no more than .5”
  19. First time I’ve seen a dusting in DC. Pretty cool! That said… probably gonna “chase” the rest of this one in Arlington today. TBD
  20. Any other night I’d try to stay up and find out. My chips are in for tomorrow, though. Want to get 10 hrs of sleep tonight. Gonna see if my brain can wake me up around 4:30 naturally to peek… we’ll see.
  21. Does this help to get the yellows over my backyard? Asking for myself
