    Is UHI getting stronger with time? If so, the snow would need to be heavier for the same amount to accumulate right in the city compared to years ago.

    Snow won't be much around these parts, but I am glad we have winter precip to speak of to kick off this season. Hopefully lots more winter storms to come the next 4 months.

    Noticing heavy connection exploding a few hundred miles east of the Carolina and Virginia coasts. A lot of energy and instability to work with.

    True, but just speculating as if the models are correct. We really don't know where the bands will be, but short term modeling is targeting NJ pretty consistently.
