  1. I am really rooting for all of us get at least 10 inches and I will feel for anyone here near the coast who might get disappointed. Winter is just starting, remember no matter what the final outcome. Long way to go for several more snowstorms hopefully.
  2. Don't know. Those mid level warm noses can really over achieve and fire north with a close enough slp. Seen it happen before with a similar track.
  3. Can't believe we actually have a sleet, mix risk that could cut totals when just yesterday, worried about fringe.
  4. Hard to believe for my area in Poughkeepsie we go from fear of fringe to now fear of taint, sleet in such short order.
  5. 12-18 looks about right for our interior areas with pops at 24 over the Cats or where banding sets up. This feels like March 2017.
  6. I still think NYC and surrounding except E LI will get at least a foot. The cold high means business. Keeping fingers crossed that everyone on this forum gets at least 10 inches. God knows we are due after last year, but I take nothing for granted. Getting high snow like this a week before Christmas is very infrequent. I am going to savor this!
  7. One of these days, these porn maps we mock will verify.
  8. Very much in line with my prediction this morning of 8-12 inches in the mid Hudson Valley.
  9. Here 10 miles north of 84 and I am always nervous with every coastal winter storm. Several model runs to go. I still predict 8-12 for my area. You folks down in the city can enjoy 12-18 imo.
  10. I am predicting 8-12 for our area in Poughkeepsie. I am well aware of bust potential.
  11. Way overdone for our area in Poughkeepsie even with ratios factored. I think we get around 10. Looks pretty but not going to verify as such up here.
  12. It isn't just one model run. It is many models over consecutive runs. I am cautious about the possibility of being severely fringed, so I am not in denial. I think Poughkeepsie area is a good 8-12 inches with cutoff closer to I 90 as Mr Drag also suggests. Could be wrong, but most models except the GFS show that solution.
  13. Hopefully the others won't come around to GFS from my location. Otherwise, I take my one inch and learn to like it?
