Heard one Wednesday night here, then 2 or 3 last night. Agree about the early part. They don't usually overlap with lightning bugs much, but those guys are still at it, although winding down a bit.
We had a boatload of those last year, holes all over the place. I mowed over the holes and they took it in stride. I think they don't sting but they are pretty intimidating looking.
Haha we must have backyards from different mothers or something like that - I was going to say 4.20" here but that's plus or minus 0.01".
Today was like a summertime version of a winter event, I enjoyed it a lot.
It is indeed an impressive little storm...nice band incoming, should get some heavy rain and wind gusts from it. Had some up in the 20's so far, also rainfall total is up to 1.70".
We're on it, lol. Wait until tomorrow and see what it looks like. Thinking maybe some heavy showers and a breeze here on Friday. Breaks things up a bit, could be interesting!
I will second that emotion, strongly. Might not be as hot today, but the rest of the week is looking pretty humid. That's the worst part of it, for working outside.
Looks like it's trying to sag down this way - we'll see. Dark clouds and some rumbles of thunder off to the north. Nothing here earlier, but the cool breezes from Philly were nice.
