  1. Thanks Paul, and I hope it verifies! I do feel that this post needs one of these however .
  2. Nice! That's about 10 million cubic feet at a 10:1 ratio. Though it's probably a lower ratio, snow machine snow is pretty dense.
  3. I was going to say the same, up here there was settling between events but no real melting, so I'm sure they had snow left from the 1st one.
  4. Got a dusting here in spots but nothing on the driveway so snow pile chances are pretty slim. It is actually snowing lightly at times so there's that!
  5. Down route 1 a few miles pretty much the same thing here.
  6. Yay, lol. Getting some light snow here! Normal sized flakes. 34F currently.
  7. Yeah it's weird, still nothing here. That's some tough dry air, lol.
  8. I'm looking at the radar thinking ok, that's looking better, how about now? And nada, lol.
  9. Been virga here for about the last half hour or so. No flakes yet!
  10. Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!
  11. Hopefully we're all not smoking cirrus tomorrow! Eta - and I'll have some of whatever the GFS and Euro are smoking. Thanks!
  12. Bbasile and the South Jersey folks are looking pretty good for this one, good luck!
  13. Lol, yeah I've been watching like most others in here. Could be interesting, could be right on the edge, could get nothing. South trend in the mesos today is a little concerning, but the 12z Euro was pretty nice, lol. It's usually fairly accurate within 24 hours, right? We shall see. As far as today's warmth goes I'm not worried, we've had a few of these over the years that work out fine, in 2014 there were a couple, and since then as well. Mt. Holly is in a tough spot with this one, I think their approach is good, like heads up and stay tuned.
  14. Got 0.43" of rain earlier, 0.72" for the day. Slowly been creeping up in the rainfall dept. over the last 2 weeks, over 2" during that period, including today. Interesting formation on the radar from Delaware across the bay to South Jersey:
  15. Happy New Year everybody! So Paul and LVwxhistorian, how often have we had a rainy New Years day, and did we get pummeled with snow from mid January on when it's happened?
  16. I wouldn't sweat it - if you wait till next Saturday sunset is 7 minutes later, it will be more relaxed with the extra daylight.
  17. We have lights on an evergreen out front. They'll probably be there into March, or at least until we get some snow. Looks nice with the snow!
  18. Pro tip (lol) - cut it to 2" height for the last mow. That way 3" of snow will cover it up real nice, and you won't have dark grass blades sticking up through it acting as little heat antennae (when the sun hits it). That's the concept anyway.
  19. You'll be singing a different tune if you wind up mowing your lawn in January, lol.
  20. Lol. They are hard on the back. I've found it helpful to do some stretching exercises before shovelling heavy digital snow.
  21. Lol...seeing it snow like that was good enough.
