  1. Probably "ocean effect" snow. 3k NAM shows it, although this frame is for 2 pm.
  2. Who's calling for an inch of ice? Mt. Holly says up to a tenth...with up to an inch of snow.
  3. Lol. My signature has become a wavy scribble.
  4. Lol. Did you get one of these with it? I learned CAD in the early 90's so haven't used those tools for a while but they do come in handy when you need them. One downside of computers is that my handwriting isn't what it used to be, haha.
  5. There ya go, lol. Here's another one - people who like hot and humid usually have a pool or a boat. I have neither, but even if I did I still can't imagine liking hot and humid. I've always enjoyed being physically active outside, even just being outside, and hot and humid makes it not as enjoyable.
  6. I have a theory based on anecdotal evidence over the years that people who prefer fall over spring were born in fall/winter, while people who prefer spring were born in spring/summer. Exceptions to every rule of course, and I do enjoy all the seasons. Except not a fan of hot and humid, and snowless winters. Also, tomorrow's weather is a depressing concept for snow lovers.
  7. Lol. But yeah. I still like winter as long as there's snow here and there to break up the monotony of brown, gray and drab, otherwise it's a long time between fall and spring, which is my favorite. Snow is my favorite weather event, the more the better but it's all enjoyable. Speaking of firepit season, skipped the Friday night session due to cold wind, but we got a few in over the last week or two.
  8. Probably in a couple of winters. Made it to 14F here, currently 17 with dp @ -2.
  9. Nah, blame the people in western PA and upstate NY wanting to see what all the excitement about Nor'easters was about. Although I suppose it's technically not a nor'easter with the inland track, but same effect for them.
  10. At least we know days ahead of time. Still holding out hope for more than a dusting of snow and sleet before the rain moves in. It's the weather, so things can change.
  11. It's beautiful up there! A few years back spent a week up the coast a little from Mt. Desert Island, in August. It was 95 and humid down here, and in the 70s up there, and smelled like pine trees. Nice!
  12. Yes I would love it to be a little weaker as well, let it find that baroclinic zone over the ocean. Seems unlikely at this point but we'll see. I mean even the GFS has it just west of Cape Hatteras before it shows it heading due north.
  13. On the other hand, or perhaps at the same time, if it shows what we want it to show, it could be shown to be quite a show when it is eventually shown, per se.
  14. Nice! Is that your remote camera/webcam? Though if it was and it was snowing I'd have mixed feelings about not being up there!
  15. Wind makes it tough, the worst is cold rain. And don't let your feet get wet/cold lol. I worked outside in construction when I was younger and there were only about 5 days a winter that were rough, and it usually involved cold wind or wet feet.
  16. I can see the pics now, thanks. Nice hawk! And your large squirrel looks suspiciously like a raccoon, lol.
  17. Cool but I don't see a pic, not sure if it's just me. Don't forget to click <insert> on the image preview if you're not already doing that. (I used to skip that step and I could see the pics but others couldn't).
  18. Wound up with 0.45" of rain yesterday, most of it in the evening with all those yellows on the radar. My estimation of snow cover retention has as a result been revised downward to 4%, along with some piles of course. Had a midnight high of 37F, currently 29F with DP at 12.
  19. Got to 39F here and that with the rain was enough to erase about 70% of the snow cover here, especially the "heavier" rain over the last 3 hours or so. Should be some left though.
  20. @LakeEffectKing @DeltaT13 @TugHillMatt @Blue Moon here's hoping you guys get a boatload of snow the next couple of days!
  21. I will second that - just about all of us do.
