  1. Just measured a fresh inch, 2.9" storm total counting snow from earlier. Rates here have been varying between light and moderate, mostly light. Steady as she goes... Slightly nerve racking due to the fact that, as modeled, we'll be pretty much on the left edge of the snow shield for the duration. But we are very much enjoying hanging on the porch and seeing it snow. Getting a little breezier bit by bit. Just had a bunch of deer stop by also. Nice Friday night!
  2. Lucky you! This is a couple of hours old, not sure if you've seen it. Always love to see these mesoscale discussions. Here's the link: https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md0095.html
  3. Yeah the one I got is called Resize. Works well as well!
  4. I downloaded an app that I use to reduce the size, crop, etc. for images. There's a few free ones, of course they put the ads up when you're done but no big deal.
  5. That is strange. I thought you had more elevation (over 400 ft.), although in this case I don't think it has much to do with elevation.
  6. Getting light snow here, it finally moved north from Delaware after sitting there for an hour or so. 33F currently. Snow from earlier today measured 1.9", still have most of it especially in shady areas. Driveway starting to get redusted (did do a little shovelling earlier).
  7. Thanks and the same to you! I had a wait and see attitude about snow today, was looking forward to seeing "some" snow. This is pretty cool though! About 0.7" so far, 30F, dp 18.
  8. Very light snow here, nice sized flakes lazily floating down. Nice. Great morning for people who like snow! 30F currently.
  9. Yeah, I agree, the "prep process" got old after a while.
  10. Lol I had one last fall and apparently they put a lot of air or something in you as part of the process, and while you're waking up it starts coming out as the biggest farts you've ever had. So I asked the nurse to pull my finger and she hesitated but then pulled it and yeah, lol. She seemed to think it was funny.
  11. Yeah, that let the air out of our balloon for the time being, lol.
  12. That, and if windy, a lot will probably get blown off. Pleasant problem to have for a snow lover.
  13. Leave it in the barn of course. You can tune it up Saturday morning while listening to sleigh ride music.
  14. Okay, getting some very light snow here now. Yay! We're having a kettle fire and the first time I thought I saw a couple of flakes about 15 minutes ago, it was probably ashes, lol. But flakes for real now.
  15. Pretty sure you could be over 6.0", 4" was pretty common in the area for Jan. 7th, and I believe you had over 2" this past Sunday.
  16. Basically mood flakes here this morning for an hour or two, and yes, it was nice. Even a dusting in one or two spots, lol. But it would be nice going into this cold stretch to have some snow cover. Maybe next week!?
  17. Switched over to snow completely here now (took a while from first flakes mixing in). 35F. Hoping for some accumulation before the ole back edge gets here.
  18. Right now I'm focused on Thursday morning. Given the chaos with the atmosphere and models, whatever happens through the weekend and after will be a bonus if we can get 2 to 4" Thursday, which is less than 36 hours out precip-wise. 3k NAM starts as rain around 3 am, pretty much all snow by 6 am. Here's hoping!
  19. It winds up looking like the storm we just had, track wise. Doubtful it verifies, 11 days out for one thing, and that's a rare track to begin with. You never know though, lol.
  20. GFS 2022 = Steve Carlton 1972 - sort of, lol. Phillies won 59 games that season, Carlton won 27 of them. Hopefully we'll wind up doing better than the Phillies did that year!
  21. Jury won't be back till the weekend, maybe a day or sooner if consensus is strong.
