    Been getting off and on snow pellets for the last hour or so. Currently 34F with dp at 16. Eta, just now started getting mainly sleet.

    Wiggum rule gets another shot this week. My point and click says 65 on Wednesday, and a chance of snow on Thursday. I like it!

    Yeah, 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month here you can burn sticks from your yard, and we have a few down after last night and this morning. Might have to get up early, lol. 40 - 50 mph wind gusts makes it a little hairy. So we'll try to be done by 1 pm.

    That 5.24 looks like the LE precip for the 12th, 13th and 14th. Looks like 10:1 ratio was assumed based on snow measurements, since it's pretty consistent.

    62 on Thursday, looks like a missed opportunity for the Wiggum rule. Nothing showing the next 5 days afterwards temp wise or precip wise.

    Wound up with 3.0" here, exceeded expectations by a little, especially with 2.9" on the far end of the driveway in a shaded area. We did succumb to the call of the snow pile and shoveled it over to the pile :- ). Pic is from this morning:

    Measured 1.9" here, still getting some light snow. Nice to see everything snow covered again! Nothing on the driveway except at the far end where it's shady. Don't know that I'm going to bring that back to the snow pile, lol. Yesterday was really nice, spent the afternoon splitting wood, tested the results (lol) last night in a kettle fire, watched it start snowing a little after 11 pm, had a dusting by the time we went inside. Beautiful day!

    Steady light snow with graupel mixed in at times. A dusting on all surfaces except driveway. 37F, dp 23.

    Steady light snow here now, no dippin dots. Bit of a breeze at times too.

    Just looked at the ground and there's a bunch of dippin dots, to use RedSky's term.

    Had some rain and snow mixed, which transitioned to mostly snow, for about 30 minutes,, from 11 to 11:30 or so. Some virga before that. Nothing at the moment but radar looks good upstream. And as I am typing it's starting back up again. Mostly snow. Woohooo! Don't know the temp cuz we're down at the kettle fire under a tent. This is great!

    Currently 47F here, will be interesting to see this evolve. Had little hope earlier of adding to the snow pile, now I'm thinking maybe, if it comes down hard enough. Here it is this afternoon, hanging in there:

    What's the equivalent in snow for Richie Ashburn hitting the same fan twice (with 2 separate foul balls) in the same at bat? I think most Phillies fans know that story even if it is from 1957. Pretty funny, since she survived it. They were carrying her away on a stretcher when he hit her the second time (there was a game delay while they attended to her after the 1st one). Eta - here's a possibility, Feb. 5th and 9th, 2010?

    Still in the market for snow for the next 2 months or so, but as someone who spends a lot of time outside, I am enjoying this spring preview right now. Hit the firewood lotto a couple of weeks ago, a neighbor behind the woods out back had some trees taken down and I arranged for the tree people to leave some behind, including oak, hotdiggitydog! A little disturbing that a lot of oaks seem to be biting the dust though.

    Well to be accurate, Philly did get 11.4" of "white rain" in that storm!

    It's smaller but still decent. Reinforcements would be nice. Maybe something will materialize Monday night, otherwise the next week looks a bit desert-dry for snow right now. Kind of warmish even, after today.
