  1. I wouldn't sweat it - if you wait till next Saturday sunset is 7 minutes later, it will be more relaxed with the extra daylight.
  2. We have lights on an evergreen out front. They'll probably be there into March, or at least until we get some snow. Looks nice with the snow!
  3. Pro tip (lol) - cut it to 2" height for the last mow. That way 3" of snow will cover it up real nice, and you won't have dark grass blades sticking up through it acting as little heat antennae (when the sun hits it). That's the concept anyway.
  4. You'll be singing a different tune if you wind up mowing your lawn in January, lol.
  5. Lol. They are hard on the back. I've found it helpful to do some stretching exercises before shovelling heavy digital snow.
  6. Lol...seeing it snow like that was good enough.
  7. Would have been nice to be there with flakes falling...oh well. Hopefully enjoyable for you regardless!
  8. Got a nice heavier burst on the tail end that created a dusting. Accumulating snow, snowless December technically averted!
  9. It's not much and probably maxed out looking at the radar, but it's a sight for sore eyes, snow lover wise!
  10. It's actual legit light snow here, with normal sized flakes! Gotta come down a little harder for pile work though, lol. Still very nice to see!
  11. Just had a pretty heavy shower here as well. Had about 30 minutes of partial sun this afternoon.
  12. I see greenskeeper was in earlier passing out weenie stickers. Merry Christmas @greenskeeper!
  13. I'll chime in again (lol), but maybe it was because it's Christmas and snow on or around this time is something many of us like a lot, and don't see too often. I imagine RedSky longingly looking at past Christmas snows and coming across 1976. Probably something else though, haha. If 1993-94 was the ice winter, 76-77 was the cold winter. We skated on ponds before Christmas that year. I remember thinking what a waste of cold weather, it had been below freezing most days since Thanksgiving. It finally snowed Christmas night here, about 2 inches or so starting in the late evening. It was cold and the snow was real dry, not heavy, but just floating down. It was a beautiful sight! And yeah January was colder. I think they had an icebreaker come up the Delaware.
  14. Lol - or maybe they'd come over! Merry Christmas.
  15. 93-94 was the ice winter here. You could see the grass through 3" of ice in our yard, and you could sled on a 1° incline. Memorable!
  16. Aww man I slept through it. Thanks for trying!
  17. Here it was more like a windshield wiper accumulator. Up to about 10 dipping dots per square inch here on the season. At least we had flakes on Christmas eve! 1st snow pics of the season:
  18. Wake me up if it's snowing at 2 am k thanks.
  19. Lol, I remember. I still say I have to get them developed if I haven't looked at them yet, or haven't downloaded them from my camera. For fun, you know.
  20. To rub salt in the wound, I remember having to shovel snow off the ice in order to play a little ice hockey, lol.
  21. My interpretation is that it was one of the rare times a day 10 epic storm on the models actually verified. Does it still bother you?
