  1. Got another shower earlier that actually added up to 0.12". Two showers in a week! Hoping it's a subtle start to an at least slightly wetter pattern.
  2. Got grazed by a storm moving SE just west of here, enough rain to wet the ground but not under the trees. Looking forward to the thick smoke, I guess. Would be cool with the moon if it clears out here.
  3. Had a nice shower for about a half an hour last evening, actually got 0.11" of rain, and had one 3 legged bolt of ctc lightning. Just a taste, but it was nice. Currently 73F and some sun through the clouds.
  4. Yeah I like it like a walk in refrigerator inside, when I've been working outside in the heat, but it about doubles my electric bill during the summer, so I'm trying to find a balance in there.
  5. It makes sense these days with the flow off the ocean as it's been lately...plus I've been watering a lot, lol.
  6. Fair enough! What's up with Reading and the heat? You are almost always higher than here (SW Delco) when it gets hot. And it's not just your location. Made it to 93F here, currently 86. No rain drops though.
  7. I turned mine on yesterday around 3 pm - made it to June 1st anyway. Should get a rest for a few days.
  8. What was it like? I think I might go out and stand in it if it rains here!
  9. Made it to 87F here, currently 86F with DP at 49. Smelled like whiskey barrels a little while ago, thought it was smoke related, but a neighbor put down some mulch, so it's probably that. Anybody think they get a shower this weekend (mainly tomorrow night it looks like)?
  10. I smelled it earlier too, around 6pm or so, but not at the moment. Maybe a lot of pine type smoke?
  11. I'm thinking a lot of cool weather has something to do with it as well.
  12. Guess we hit the jackpot here, with 0.10". Still dry under the trees though. Got a smidge of sun right before it settled below the horizon. Nice evening.
  13. Saw a couple of lightning bugs tonight! Pretty amazing, every year for the last 5 years (at least) there's been one or two showing up way early, hanging around for a couple of weeks, then they go away and a few days later (the last week of May) the main show starts up. Not sure how that works, but it's been consistent. 61F currently.
  14. It's been a beauty! Split some wood today, and testing the results this evening with a kettle fire. Gotta test it, right?
  15. Awesome outside here at the moment! Just about all blue sky overhead, late day sunshine, birds talking, air smells great (just finished mowing), 60F with low humidity.
  16. Yeah, Birds asked about "drought guy" the other day and he replied. Seems to be handling the rain okay, lol. ...ninja'd haha
  17. Just got clipped by some heavier rain during that pivot. 1.9" so far today, may wind up being close to the total since there's not much west or south of here at the moment. I imagine most of that inch or so we got in the last hour plus just ran off. The ground is pretty saturated - thats 5.4" going back to last Saturday, and 3.65" this weekend. Getting breezy at the moment.
  18. Picked up 1.75" total yesterday and overnight, and 3.50" for the last week. Good stuff! Outside doing odds and ends, and it almost feels a little warm and humid. 61F with 59 DP.
  19. 0.75" here so far, getting some pretty good gusts of wind once in a while. 49F.
  20. Sounds like it should hold off till noon or so. Good luck!
  21. Just finished here, all set for a few days of rain. Mostly sunny at the moment and 61F, birds are singing, the air smells good...love these kind of days!
  22. Yeah it clouded back up here, now have a shower moving in. 52F at the moment.
  23. Had a little thundershower about an hour ago, 3 flashes of lightning (with thunder of course), and about 0.15" of rain. Total for the day is 0.22" including a few light showers that moved through this morning. Currently 55F and the sun is out. Nice cool spring evening out here.
