First round sort of skipped over me and reformed just to my east. Picked up 0.10" and dropped my temp down to 77F. Reached 89F again today so the heat wave will have to wait until tomorrow.

Clouds so far have delayed the start of the heat wave. Only 78F here at noon, topped out at 89F yesterday. Got woken up by some boomers passing by overnight, but only 0.10" in the bucket.

Interesting speculation in the NYC forum, about how winter years that end in 1-2 kind of suck, for instance... 2011-12 dead ratter 2001-02 dead ratter 1991-92 m'eh, an occasional nickel & dimer in there 1981-82 a good winter as I recall 1971-72 starting to get a bit before my time, but I don't think it was anything special Is there some sort of physical cycle at work here, or just random coincidence? I suspect the latter, but maybe that's because I'm a weenie who wants a snowy winter.

Yes, glad everyone is okay! Fortunately I haven't heard of any serious injuries, amazing seeing the damage around the area. Picked up about .70" yesterday from the portion of the storm that looked to move on and form the tornado in the lower Bucks area. 73F/DP 68F

That's insane! Yes, I know is wasn't a tornado but it sure looks like one with how those trees are sheared off. I probably lost a half dozen trees from last June's derecho but all of them were still attached to their root ball. Incredible damage for such a localized area. Doors and windows are open, got down to 62F overnight. 68F/DP 59F.

I don't recall a March '91 bust. But if you were battling the rain/snow line in the Lehigh Valley, then maybe it was always forecasted as a rainer down this way, so I didn't pay any attention to it. What I do remember is those winters from 1987-88 to 1991-92 were pretty much snowless around here, except for an occasional nickel & dimer.
